ROLES: Two classmates
PURPOSE: Discuss about to the transformation of the planet due to global warming and atmospheric conditions
PROMPT: You are a couple of YouTubers and you have been concerned about the affectations of global warming
towards the future, so you have decided to create a YouTube video to raise awareness about global warming and
provide some recommendations to have better environmental practices. The task requires the following aspects:
1. The task will be in pairs and you will be randomly assigned a classmate the same day the oral task is
programmed.
2. Provide information about the global warming.
3. Describe how (global warming or atmospheric conditions) it has affected our everyday life
4. Mention the predictions or recommendations to have better environmental practices for the planet’s future
5. Time assigned: 5 minutes each pair.

assigned by providing information about global warming and
atmospheric conditions; communicate and send messages so the
audience is left with no questions.
Fluency: produce a cohesive discourse, the act of speaking in
understandable, ideas are linked with basic linear connectors, organize
the sentences in a logical discourse according to the level.
Vocabulary: use vocabulary about global warming and atmospheric
conditions; and use a variety of word choice to make the dialogue
interesting.
Structure: produce the simple present structures, to be forms, plurals,
negative tense and auxiliaries, pronouns, prepositions of place,
comparatives and superlatives; pose and answer information questions
and use other sentence structures to make the dialogue interesting.
Pronunciation: pronounce and produce intonation patterns of basic
sounds that allow the audience to understand the message and
pronounce words without interfering with the message.
