An Editorial Note ...
Most people would love to buy the latest electronic products; the
the problem is not in the desire, it is in the fact that many people
often make their purchases without fully understanding what they
really want and whether the product they are buying will meet their
needs. Many of the products and services that are purchased by the
millions, are usually bought with incomplete knowledge of the prod-
uct’s capabilities and whether it will meet the needs of the buyer.
For instance, do you need to replace the new LCD television with the
even newer LED modelts; how about High Definition (HD) and what
exactly is the difference between optical zoom and digital zoom in a
digital camera. And, how can we possibly expect any regular person
to have even the faintest idea of what a wireless router might be?
Sure, it’s on sale at a very nifty price, but what is it?
And that is what we aim to do from the next issue onwards. To pro-
vide, simple, objective editorial content on complex technologies
that will help buyers make right choices. While clearly written edito-
rial content is good, the key word here should be objective.
But, if you the reader do not stand up for more objecitve editorial,
you can expect to see more of this editorial-in-an-advertising cloak
appear — luckily, not in Vivalife.
