Prologue
NMC was previously known as the Photography Club of NUST. It was renamed to NUST Media Club in an effort to
consolidate all the fundamental functions of media, namely Photography, Videography and Design.

Our Vision
NUST is one of the best in Pakistan. However, a positive self-image is crucial for us to communicate our strengths and
potential. Hence, the goal of NMC is to create and communicate a positive, up-to-date, comprehensive and
understandable image for the University. An effective effort will improve and strengthen the University’s identity with
students, alumni and the community. It will, also, increase the demand for enrollment. The club will achieve this by:

• grooming in-house talent through workshops and mentorship program;

• developing media related activities like journalism, TV and radio presentations;
• electronic news gathering; and
• developing publicity material.

Our Mantra
To be the Sight & Sound of NUST.

Day 3: Professional Shooting Techniques for Camcorder Owners

People have the good camcorder but they recognize that the footage they’ve taken doesn't look like the stuff they see on TV.
They keep seeing the background go lighter and darker as they pan a scene. They notice the sound on some shots is much
louder than other shots. These are just a few of the problems that one can run into without previous training and information
on shooting techniques. This workshop will provide a solid foundation to film makers to build upon.
