Introducción
Los verbos auxiliares son: be, do, have y will, cuando se utilizan para formar
oraciones interrogativas o negativas, tiempos compuestos y la forma pasiva.
El verbo "be"
tiempo:
Simple present:
I am
he/she/it is
we/you/they are
Simple past:
I/he/she/it was
we/you/they were
Perfect participle:
been
Forma continua
Present progressive:
He is playing football.
Past progressive:
He was playing football.
Present perfect progressive:
He has been playing football.
Past perfect progressive:
He had been playing football.
Voz pasiva
Simple present/past:
The house is/was built.
Present/Past perfect:
The house has/had been built.
Futur I:
The house will be built.
El verbo "have"
Simple present:
I/we/you/they have
he/she/it has
Simple past:
I/he/she/it/we/you/they had
Perfect participle:
had
El verbo "do"
irregular.
Simple present:
I/we/you/they do
he/she/it does
Simple past:
I/he/she/it/we/you/they did
El auxiliar do en negaciones
Simple present:
He does not play football.
Simple past:
He did not play football.
El auxiliar do en interrogaciones
Simple present:
Does he play football?
Simple past:
Did he play football?
Ejemplo:
I am not angry.
Are you okay?
Cuando ya se está utilizando otro verbo auxiliar (por ejemplo: have, be, will).
Ejemplo:
They are not sleeping.
Have you heard that?
Cuando ya se usa un verbo modal (can, could, may, might, must, ought to,
shall, should, will, would).
Ejemplo:
We must go now.
Can you repeat that, please?
Ejemplo:
Who sings that song?
do como verbo principal
El verbo »will«
Ejemplo:
I will, he will
I will not = I won’t
He will not play football.
Future II:
He will have played football.
