Earthing of components and other related connections are to be verified

and ensured.
9 All the metallic components are properly earthed / bonded.
The installation of the cable to be checked to ensure the correct laying,
10 proper glanding/termination, adequate supports, labelling, identification
etc.
The earth fault loop impedance of all circuits has been found satisfactory
11 for operation of the protective devices. Measurement results shall be
recorded in Annex I.
Hand operation on protective devices such as miniature circuit breakers,
12 moulded case circuit breakers, air circuit breakers, fused switches,
isolators etc. are satisfactory.

13 All the meters and selector switches are to be checked to ensure that
correct selection and ratings (where appropriate).

All lighting circuits shall be energised and checked to ensure that they are

operational.
C Conductors, Cables and Wirings
1 No visible damage to impair safety.
All conductors and their methods of insulation, in relation to design
2 currents of circuits and to the operating currents of the protective devices,
are properly selected and erected.
3 All conductors are correctly identified.
Armoured cables properly terminated to metal casing or trunking by
4
proper cable glands.
5 Non-sheathed cables protected by conduit, trunking or ducting.
6 Cables and ductings adequately supported.
7 Cables are terminated with suitable cable lugs.
8 All exposed metal parts including the armour effectively earthed.
D Conductor Continuity/Polarity
All circuit conductors have been tested for continuity and the same is

recorded in Annex I.
The insulation resistance between phase to earth is NOT less than 1 mega
2
ohm.

3 The insulation resistance between phases is NOT less than 1 mega ohm.

4 Insulation resistance test results recorded in Annexure-I.


5 Polarity check results recorded in Annexure-I.
E Final Circuits
No socket outlet installed close to water tap, gas tap or cooker so as to
1
avoid danger.
Radial final circuits are installed in compliance with Kahramaa
2
regulations.
Ring circuits using socket outlets in compliance with Kahramaa
3
regulations.
Residual current device having a rated residual operating current not
4
exceeding 30mA provided for all socket outlets.

5 All circuits & switches ratings in compliance with Kahramaa regulations.

Luminaires, switches, sockets and plugs, cable couplers installed outdoor,

being weatherproof type.
F Functional Test of System/Equipment
All circuits including lighting and power circuits have been verified
1 through switching operation that they are installed in accordance with the
designated circuits.
