A reservation is an arrangement made in advance to have a table available at a


particular time.
Procedures for Taking Table Reservation
1. Answer the phone call promptly. Using the proper telephone etiquette, introduce
yourself and for name of the caller.
2. Use the name of the guests appropriately and gather the following important
information: number of guests, reservation date, arrival time, other special
requirements, recap the details of the reservation to the caller , conclude the call
properly.

 F&B Staff: Good morning, thank you for calling “The Bistro” this Ariane, may I know who’s
on the line please.
 Guest: Hi this is Karen. I am calling to make a table reservation.
 F&B Staff: Hi Ms. Karen, for when is this reservation?
 Guest: On the 27th of May.
 F&B Staff: Will this reservation be under your name?
 Guest: No, I am calling in behalf of my boss, Mr. Andy Santos.
 F&B Staff: At what time should we expect Mr. Santos arrival, is this for lunch or dinner?
 Guest: He’ll be there at around 3 in the afternoon.
 F&B Staff: Well noted ma’am, this reservation is for Mr. Santos, can we get his contact
detail?
 F&B Staff: Let me just repeat the details of this reservation.
 F&B Staff: You have reserved a table for two on May 27 at 3 in the afternoon. Would there
be any other requests ma’am?
 Guest: None anymore. Thank you.
 F&B Staff: Thank you for calling Ms. Karen. I’ll call you back to confirm this reservation.
