Recommended Additional notes
secondary and details about
technique for this NOTES how to use this
player. player.
Shoot Sense user = highest shoot values. Can run an override for
low investment, or CB for a costy, slightly less powerful, but self-
sufficient build.

Good native dribble that's, sadly, off-element. You will have to

choose between being able to stall really well and being able to
support overrides.

Comes with the excellent God Knows, but sadly does not have
anything in his kit to support it.

A polyvalent unit that can both initiate and chain at tremendous levels. Very
good in tournaments when you have to invite. His only downside is his
horrendous first slot, preventing him from getting anything else than a Fire
shoot.

A good defender for beginners, but with little to no utility as

Kabeyama Minodouzan is way easier to obtain, as Amagi is only
available in packs currently.

Useful for his niche of being a good debuffer against female players and his
native Ryuusei Blade, but suffers from poor stats. You'll have to invest into
his Sunshine Storm if you want to keep it, or just chain with a weaker
Ryuusei Blade.

One of the very few self-sufficient Wind shooters. Very good to

initiate after a catch from your GK, or to profit from an interesting
ball position after a punch.

Relies on element advantage to do her job, but can be deceptively

good, especially if Ikasama procs.

Can be farmed, has a native status block, has very high stats, has
exclusive equipments. The worst Chaos member, though, who's
decent at two roles but does not shine anywhere.

Can be farmed, has a native status shoot, has very high stats, has
exclusive equipment, can use an override for lower investment...

Sokojikara makes him a staple unit for Score Attack events. Native
132 power shoot makes him an expensive, but powerful, player. A
dribble is the best PvE slot 2. Exclusive equipment for extra stats.

Can be farmed, has a native status block, has very high stats, can
run override support, has exclusive equipments. She can block, stall
and freeze opponents. The most complete Wind defender.

Vital player for some Score Attacks strats. Also helps your team
avoid misses by giving GP sustain. Hard to use as a shooter because
of his reliance on Nae to override. Extremely good support player
though.
A good goalkeeper that hits hard, but needs a better hissatsu than
Drill Smasher to be usable. So he can't have a hissatsu for override
support.

Can be played with her unimpressive native dribble, or replace it

with a better one at the expense of being unable to support
overrides.

A meh goalkeeper. Her acquisition at the Inabikari shop is very

hard to justify considering the existing options at her spot.

A powerhouse that shots really hard. He is however hindered by

either playing its slot 1 hissatsu or Triple Blizzard with another
Wind FW on the pitch at the same time.

Just like the other free campaign FW, Masato, barebones kit, except
he's noticeably worse and harder to use.

Pretty much identical to his Tonegawa version, because L5

apparently needed to make an event version of it. Being limited
doesn't mean he's any better, though.

Hi no Kokoroe is wasted on him; stabbed Fence of Gaia will always

be the better option. Basically a budget Hyoudou Tsukasa (Project
K).

A good goalkeeper for beginners. Doesn't have a ton of versatility

nor options than putting him Mugen no Kabe and praying for
Critical to proc.

No passives to support Earth moves, but has the very good Fuujin
Raijin as well as boosts to his Wind catchs, which just means that
he's still terrible at both.

An excellent chain shooter. Slightly better than other options due to

Positive Aura mitigating the impact of RNG. However Extreme
Rabbit on his first slot forces him to have a stabbed hissatsu on his
second.
Can sacrifice his shooting power a bit (less important on chainers)
and run an override support; King's Lance is viable but not
recommended.

Amazing staller who needs a dribble on slot 2. Can initiate with his
native slot 1 technique.

Pretty average striker with the incredibly useful niche of being the
only F2P source of White Double Impact. Required as an override
support for a vast majority of better Wind strikers if you don't own
Nae (IkeTen).

Antoine Skyligne jokes apart, he is a decent enough forward.

However, buying a S-rank base for any 9/10 or 10/10 character is
more valuable than buying him at the Inabikari shop, unless you're
a fan of the character.

Fudou Akio (Teikoku Asuto Arc), but better.

Pretty average native dribble that's still viable, forcing you to

choose between good values and override support.

The true definition of an average goalkeeper.

Hits incredibly hard against Wood players and shots, but becomes
average against any other element. As he is a big unit and travels
less distance, he will have issues with ohajikicks and to challenge
faraway stallers.

Sokojikara makes him a staple unit for Score Attack events. Native
128 power shoot makes him really easy to invest into, with minimal
power penalty. A dribble is the best PvE slot 2 option.

Can be farmed, has a native status shoot, has very high stats, has
exclusive equipment, can use an override for lower investment...

One of the very few self-sufficient Wind shooters. Very good to

initiate after a catch from your GK, or to profit from an interesting
ball position after a punch. Poor base stats, salvaged by an
exclusive equipment.
Higher highs, lower averages than his OG Teikoku version.

A very standard and good goalkeeper. However his kit is

barebones.

Excellent GK carried by the Chouwaza + Hi no Kokoroe combo.

Has a 106 power native catch, letting him use override support
moves.

Comes with a very good native shoot. Override support is preferred

unless you really need to save up on the upgrade costs.

Can be efficient against Wind shooters, but will be below average

against any other type of shot. Must be paired with a Earth GK in
PvP.

A secondary choice for anyone who didn't had enough luck to pull a
featured S Earth FW on a banner. He is however still strong and
hits hard thanks to Chouwaza.

Barebones kit, but excellent filler F2P player.

Looks barebones at first glance but carried by very strong Kizunas

effects that let him approach unusual high numbers for his stats.
Consider upgrading his kizunas if you want to play him.

The "basic", easy to use Fire FW. Native override component with
decent power to avoid being totally useless if the override partner is
too far away, and a free slot for whatever you need.

Pretty average striker with useful niches on elemental advantage /

against female players. Can otherwise be used as a pure override
support thanks to his rare native Ryuusei Blade.
Can be farmed, has Burnout as a native catch which lets him
support overrides with his slot 2, has high stats, has exclusive
equipment...

Can be played with his native technique and override support;

significantly easier to max out if played with The Explosion.

Somehow shoots decently hard even with his lack of good passives.

A goalkeeper with very good stats, but with only an okay first slot
hissatsu, which forces you to give a better catch hissatsu as slot 2.
His skills are RNG-prone and can't rely on a permanent boost.

Useful for his niche of being a good debuffer against female players, but
suffers from poor stats, as well as being forced to choose between an
expensive native shoot or an annoying to use override.

Budget Gouenji but edgy.

By far the highest values for a GK. Hindered by the fact she's
forced to use punches. Slot 2 can be used for a Wind catch if you
really need a weaker, consistent option, but override support is
WAY better.

Barely misses the top GK spot, but still top 2 by a long shot. Hindered by
the fact he's forced to use punches. Slot 2 can be used for an Earth catch if
you really need a weaker, consistent option, but override support is WAY
better.

Good staller who can also shoot decently. Sadly powercrept by

Shoot Sense users.

Good staller who can also shoot decently. Sadly powercrept by

Shoot Sense users.

Good staller who can also shoot decently with either Wood or Wind
elements (though Wood is more of a gimmick). Sadly powercrept
by Shoot Sense users.
Interesting kit with too many shortcomings to be good in practice;
he's built to shoot, but has nothing to support it - not even decent
stats.

Thanks to his terrible stats and off-element Boost skill, he can be

bad with not one, but two elements!

Shoot Sense user = highest shoot values. Can override Bakunetsu

Storm for low investment, or shoot with his native technique while
supporting overrides or stalling with a dribble. Extremely complete
player.

Comes with Bakunetsu Storm out of the box, making the override
redundant on him, albeit cheaper.

Surprisingly good stats, but his kit is on the weak side. Depends a
lot on RNG to be efficient.

Sokojikara makes him a staple unit for Score Attack events. Native
141 power shoot makes him an expensive, but powerful, player. A
dribble is the best PvE slot 2, but wastes his rare native Ryuusei
Blade.

Can override for low investment. A very good chainer.

A good defender, notably for beginners. He is effective quickly and

can debuff and hit hard sometimes. As he is a big unit and travels
less distance, he will have issues with ohajikicks and to challenge
faraway stallers.

Pretty unimpressive chainer with a really good native shoot and

extremely weird, situational unique passive.

A bit hindered by his native Presto Turn, which is only acceptable.

One of the most complete defenders after Yokai Watch ones. Not
only he can pull good values, he can also stall, debuff with some
RNG and can't miss a block. However, outperformed by Koma and
Kyuubi.

An alternate version of the Kariya Drink version. A bit worse (they

do approximatively the same values but Kariya K can miss and
can't debuff with RNG) but easier to max him out.
Horrible mixed stats and bad native dribble, rendering him
mediocre at both blocking and dribbling.

Bad base stats, and a niche that shines against a type of player that
pretty much does not exist: female Earth FWs.

Unfortunate off-element Boost skill, and a good shoot that's wasted

on him for his native slot, but otherwise solid kit.

His base kit would be perfect for his role with a better native
dribble; his effectiveness as a staller is hindered by that. Can chain
decently well.

Incredibly expensive player who needs TWO different catches to exploit a

gimmicky kit that barely makes any difference. Still an excellent Earth GK
based on stats alone. If your budget is short, don't bother using her native
catch.

Can use a Fire override to alleviate his ridiculous investment costs,

but then loses the ability to stall with his incredible unique dribble.
Shoots outrageously hard even without an override. Choose well.

Can be played with his native Cosmic Blaster, but letting him
override it is both more powerful and way less expensive.

Can be played with his native technique and override support;

significantly easier to max out if played with The Explosion.

F2P shooter who hits deceptively hard.

Pretty good option for a Wood DF, who has everything he needs
out of the box.

Prime F2P choice for a complete Wood striker. Immune to Oiroke

UP, which can be a plus.

Hindered by an unimpressive native technique, unimpressive base

stats and unimaginative passives. Good, but doesn't stand out.
Pretty bad striker who's barely usable, unlike his Gran version.
Should be used as a pure override support thanks to his rare native
Ryuusei Blade.

A worse version of Kariya Drink. Hindered by his first slot, forcing

him to pick a second block hissatsu to be truly efficient.

Possesses a very good Fire dribble as slot 1 and can help the team
with his second slot. Needs a wind defender who can dribble for
good synergy and to counter Koma in PvP.

Is also an excellent staller due to his very high base stats and Earth
element boost passives.

Budget Gouenji just like in the anime.

The only Earth FW in the game who can reach override-like values
on initiation, thanks to Chance Getter. Still chains decently
otherwise. One cut above the rest.

She's the second best debuffer in the game (25% if you proc
Ikasama!), and pairs extremely well with good Wind GKs. But she
will suffer against stallers unless you give her a Fire block.

A very complete defender, able to reach good values. He has a

higher dribbling stats than the rest of the defenders so he can stall
very well too. Misses the top spot due to his average passives.

Basically Kabeyama Minodouzan, but Wood. He can be a good

defender if you don't have any other options but there is several
defenders who can do a better job.

Can hit hard with an override and Fantasista. Worse than Hiroto
Adult and not polyvalent by any mean, but way easier to max him
out.

Budget Beta who's hard to justify using. No passive to help him

stall; his kit is made for initiating, but his native shoot is terrible, so
you cannot run a dribble on him. Just use a Wind FW at this point.
The best example of why Void element is terrible in SD. Do
yourself a favor and teach him Mugen no Kabe to upgrade it with
the free scrolls, rather than investing into his native catch.

An option if you want an Earth defender that isn't Koma and isn't
big. He is however a below average defender.

Incredible staller with good values and the ability to buff initiators
with a pass, making him the best non-Shoot Sense staller as well as
a solid option for a support player slot.

Can also use his native Eternal Blizzard, but this isn't recommended
due to its poor strength.

Worse than his Iketen counterpart, his use is hard to justify

considering the ton of existing options, even for F2P players.

Surprisingly okay defender with a good base kit but somewhat

unimpressive, albeit mixed, stats.

Can be played using his base Jiyuu no Kabe, but will have better
consistency with Fuujin Raijin.

Good staller who can also chain decently. Sadly powercrept as a

shooter by Shoot Sense users. Needs a dribble to stall and be useful.

Hindered by pathetic base stats. Nice base kit that lets him
somewhat do the job and be flexible enough to still be useful.
Notable for having Sky Walk (Earth) as slot 1. Doesn't have
tremendous power or utility apart from override support but has the
merit to be a counterpick option for stall against Fire defenders.

Okay stats and skills ruined by an average shot as slot 1.

Can be played with his native dribble technique to provide override

support, at the cost of some power. Sadly, this is usually fatal to
stallers since stall is a strict power comparison.

Shoot Sense user = highest shoot values. Can run a override for low
investment or IB for a costy investment. If you have Nae (IkeTen) prioritize
Shirousagi Dashoot. Barely misses staple status because Wanda outperforms
her slightly.

Shoot Sense user = highest shoot values. Can override Bakunetsu

Storm and stall with his slot 1 technique. Extremely complete
player.

Shoots hard thanks to very high base stats and Chance Getter, but
hard to justify using in an archetype crowded with good players.

A niche player with his unique passive Senjutsuka which reduces

the cost of tactics by 30% (first time only). Has a good native shoot
with 134 base power. Can run overrides.

An excellent chainer with Fantasista and an Earth shot. However he

is a tad weak if he has to shoot on his own and if he didn't score any
goal yet.

Only unit with Long Shoot Killer; can be played as a DF to trigger

it and let a better GK do the actual save, which makes him the best
debuffer in the game (add 3 points to his F2P score if doing this).

Budget Himekawa. Hindered by the fact he's forced to use punches,

but still one of the best Wind GKs.
Relies on RNG to debuff shots. Below average otherwise.

Outrageously pitiful stats. Noteworthy niche with his kit, that lets
him be a decent chainer if you have no other option.

Sole good user of White Double Impact. Boosts the viability of

almost every other Wind shooter in the game simply by existing, on
top of being individually a top tier chain shooter.

Good base stats, with unfortunate passives (only Chouwaza is

good). Black Ash is expensive, but a good option, so you can use
him as an override support (this will impact his ability to initiate
though).

The best wood goalkeeper. Hits hard with his slot 1 catch and can
help the team with an Override Support. However he is the "worst
of the best", meaning that among the best GK of their types, he is
the weakest.

A worse version of his HaruWaku counterpart, but still decent. He

is the best Wood GK currently available for everyone, but isn't
recommended to buy as better wood GKs will arrive sooner or later.

A defender with good values but who absolutely needs a good

Wood block as slot 2 to do his job, making him one-dimensional
and fundamentally limited.

The very first Wood-FW of a long series. He has been

powercreeped since it's introduction, but he's still a very decent
option if you don't have any other wood FW.

Gouenji, but flat out better everywhere, at the cost of not having a
native overridable move.

Former queen of goalkeepers who suffered a pretty heavy fall from

grace since the introduction of the new, better generation of
goalkeepers. Can still be used as a debuffer against male strikers, at
the GK or DF position.

If you prefer to have a Wind GK with a catch rather than a punch,

at the cost of less power, Norika Summer is your solution. She hits
hard but still needs a better catch than Mermaid Veil to max her
potential.

Shoot Sense user = highest shoot values. Can run a override for low
investment or IB for a costy investment. If you have Nae (IkeTen)
prioritize Shirousagi Dashoot.

Decent staller against male players; can double as a debuffer if

equipped with a block on slot 2, which prevents her from running a
better dribble than her base one, hindering her stall abilities.
Try to salvage his unimpressive stats and lack of good passives with an
override if you really want to use him. Has the niche of being slightly less
garbage than other Wind FWs when matched against a Wood GK, thanks to
his only decent passive.

Good support player who makes everyone else hit slightly harder.
Can be played with her expensive native shoot, or an override,
since she's also a solid striker.

Can stall quite well, but her native slot is locked on a pretty useless
block technique that'll only be useful if you have no better option
(i.e. no real defender). Shooting with her would be wasteful.

Has the solid, relatively inexpensive Disaster Break as a native

shoot, which makes King's Lance redundant on him and lets him
support overrides with his slot 2.
