NOTE: We expect baptisms to be conducted at the end of Revival/Camp meeting in each district. Hence the
inclusion of the highlighted names of ordained pastors. Ensure that baptisms are done before they leave the
district.
LUAPULA ZAMBIA CONFERENCE
2020 LOCAL-CHURCH-BASED REVIVAL AND OUT-DOOR CAMP MEETING GUIDELINES
1. Get certification from your local authorities, and confirm its acquisition to LZC before August 10
in order for Management to allow speaker(s) to travel.
2. With the preparation of Camp Meetings, you - leaders – need to re-evaluate the feasibility of
holding camp meetings in view of the new wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
3. Decisions made have to take into consideration the safety and health of our members and
community at large.
4. Ensure strict adherence to health guidelines such as:
a. maintaining social distancing,
b. all attendees/ members to have masks,
c. regular hand washing and sanitizing, and
d. those feeling unwell, the elderly and children under the age of 15 should stay home until
conditions improve.
5. Avoid overcrowding as guided by Health Personnel.
Please note that the stated guidelines apply to both local church-based revivals and out-door camping.
There is only one thing to do; either I stay home or attend a permitted/certified camp meeting Revival or
local church-based Revival following the stipulated guidelines. After all, you lose nothing in adhering to
these guidelines. It will be embarrassing seeing our meetings disrupted over petty issues which do not
affect our pillars of faith yet.
Therefore, fellow pastors, elders and, of course, church members at large; as an orderly and
knowledgeable church, we emphasize that we lead by example. Let us continue to prayerfully look to
God our Great Physician to see us through this difficult time.
Yours faithfully
James Chapi
Ministerial Secretary
