Das Projekt Lago verwandelt sich
und versucht, dabei nie den

Non è una fabbrica: è un gesto sociale. Non è un capannone: è un nuovo approc-
cio mentale. Non è un miraggio: è un’oasi tra scatole di cemento. Dal progetto
dell’ architetto Italo Chiucchini nasce “LAGOFABBRICA”, la non-fabbrica che
produce, in quanto concepita secondo i principali criteri di bioedilizia domestica.
Qui materie nobili inusuali per le industrie si incontrano: sistemi architettonici a
misura d’uomo creano sequenze armoniche di falde inclinate, travi in legno,
mattoni e vetro, cotto, acciaio e alluminio. Qui dentro e fuori vivono in simbiosi,
uniti dalla trasparenza che accoglie la luce naturale e i suoi effetti benefici su
corpo e psiche. Qui le polveri vengono trattenute dal sistema di climatizzazione
con riscaldamento radiante a pavimento, permettendo agli occhi di ammirare il
cielo dal soffitto e dai finestroni affacciati sulla campagna. Qui la passerella
sospesa buca il soffitto con travi di legno lamellare, donando nuovi punti di vista
sullo show-room. E’ nato un nuovo universo. Al suo centro non solo quello che si

fa, ma chi lo fa: l’uomo.
It is not a factory: it is a social gesture. It is not an
industrial shed: it is a new mental approach. It is not
a mirage: it is an oasis among cement boxes. The
project of the Italian architect Chiucchini resulted into
‘LAGOFABBRICA’, the non-factory that produces
because it has been conceived according to
residential bio-construction criteria. Noble materials
have been used that are usually not found in industri-
al buildings: man-tailored architectural systems cre-
ate harmonious sequences of slanted pitches, wooden
beams, bricks and glass, ceramics, steel and alumini-
um. The inside and the outside live in symbiosis here;
they are linked by the transparency that lets sunlight
in together with its beneficial effects on body and
mind. Here, dust is trapped by the air conditioning sys-
tem with floor heating, thus enabling people to stare
at the sky through the ceiling and from the large win-
dows looking on the countryside. Here, the hanging
gangway goes through the ceiling pierced by lamin-
board beams, thus offering new observation points on
the showroom. A new universe has been created. At
the centre of this universe there is not what is done,
but the one who does it: the human being.

Nach einem Entwurf des Architekten Italo Chiucchini
entsteht ‘LAGOFABBRICA’, eine Nicht-Fabrik, die her-
stellt, da sie gemäß den wesentlichen Kriterien des pri-
vaten Biobauwesens konzipiert wurde. Hier treffen für
die Industrie ungewöhnliche, außerordentliche Materien
aufeinander: architektonische Systeme nach
Menschenmaß schaffen harmonische Sequenzen aus
Walmdächern, Holzträgern, Backsteinen und Glas, Ton,
Stahl und Aluminium. Hier lebt man drinnen und draußen
in Symbiose, dank der Transparenz, die das natürliche
Licht mit seiner wohltuenden Auswirkung auf Körper und
Psyche aufnimmt. Hier wird der Staub durch das
Klimatisierungssystem mit Fußbodenstrahlungsheizung
aufgefangen und die Augen können durch die Decke und
die auf die Fluren zeigenden großen Fenster den Himmel
bewundern. Hier durchbricht der hängende Laufsteg die
Decke mit Trägern aus Lamellenholz, wodurch der
Showroom neue Blickwinkel bietet. Es wurde ein neues
Universum geboren. Im Mittelpunkt steht nicht nur das,
was man macht, sondern wer es macht: der Mensch.

terre cuite, acier et aluminium. Là, à l'intérieur comme
au-dehors, ils vivent en symbiose, unis par la
transparence qui accueille la lumière naturelle et ses
effets bénéfiques sur le corps et l'esprit. Là, la pous-
sière est piégée par le système de climatisation avec
chauffage radiant au sol, permettant aux yeux d'admir-
er le ciel à travers le plafond et les baies qui donnent sur
la campagne. Là, la passerelle suspendue troue le pla-
fond de ses poutres en bois lamellé-collé, offrant de
nouveaux points de vue sur le show-room. Un nouvel
univers est né. Et, au centre de celui-ci, on reconnaît non
seulement ce qui s'y fait, mais aussi celui qui le fait:
l'être humain.

 FINITURE ALL’ACQUA
Lago converte i suoi impianti usando l’acqua al posto dei solventi. Gli impianti di
verniciatura rappresentano, dopo l’emissione prodotta dai trasporti, la maggiore
fonte di immissione in atmosfera di composti organici volatili (COV), incidendo
spesso con effetti negativi sulla popolazione e sull'ambiente.

traffic, paint spraying systems are the great-
est source for the emission of volatile organic
compounds into the atmosphere (VOC), quite
often having a negative effect on the popula-
tion and environment. Lago looks to the

Lago stellt die eigenen Anlagen von Lösungsmittel-
auf Wasserlacke um. Nach den Fahrzeugabgasen
stellen die Lackierungsanlagen die größte
Verschmutzungsquelle durch Emission in die
Atmosphäre von flüchtigen organischen
Verbindungen (VOC) dar, was oft negative

240.000 m2 DI CARTONE DA RIDISEGNARE OGNI 2 ANNI
Il contenitore può diventare contenuto se arricchito di valori. Packaging
Collection 04-05, ad esempio, è il progetto che ha coinvolto i bambini della
scuola Steineriana di Cittadella (Padova) contribuendo a liberare la loro
creatività. Oltre 120 mila metri quadrati di cartone da imballo si sono trasformati
in un enorme foglio da disegno su cui i bimbi hanno dato sfogo alla fantasia.
Ma non è tutto. In linea con i principi etici in tema di ambiente, le confezioni di
cartone, terminata la loro funzione primaria, possono essere avvolte su loro
stesse dando vita a ‘Ricciolo’, lo sgabello che unisce l'utile al dilettevole.
Packaging Collection è come la creatività: si evolve e si rinnova periodicamente
con nuovi progetti, nuove soluzioni. Perché con i prodotti la Mission Lago prende
forma. Ma con il Packaging si completa.

More than 120,000 square meters of packaging
cardboard were turned into a huge drawing sheet
on which the children could express their imagina-
tion. But it was not only this. In line with the envi-
ronmental ethical principles, after it has
performed its original function, the cardboard
packaging can be wound on itself to form 'curl', the
stool that is fun and practical. The Packaging
Collection is like creativity: it evolves and under-
goes a continuous renewal through new projects
and solutions. Mission Lago takes its shape with the
products. With Packaging it becomes complete.
Der Container kann zum Inhalt werden, wenn er mit
Werten gefüllt wird. Packaging Collection 2004 ist
beispielsweise ein Projekt mit den Kindern der Schule
Steineriana in Cittadella (Padua), das zur Entwicklung
ihrer Kreativität beitrug. Über 120 tausend Quadratmeter
Verpackungskarton haben sich in ein enormes
Zeichenblatt verwandelt, auf dem die Kinder ihrer
Phantasie freien Lauf ließen. Aber dies ist nicht alles. Im
Einklang mit den ethischen Umweltprinzipien können die
Kartonpackungen nach ihrer eigentlichen Funktion um
sich selbst aufgewickelt werden, wodurch "Ricciolo"
entsteht, ein Hocker, bei dem sich das Angenehme mit
dem Nützlichen verbindet. Packaging Collection ist wie
die Kreativität: sie entwickelt und erneuert sich
regelmäßig mit neuen Projekten und neuen Lösungen.

taisie. Mais ce n'est pas tout. En accord avec les principes
éthiques concernant notre milieu naturel, les confections
en carton, dès que leur fonction primaire a été satisfaite,
peuvent être enroulées sur elles-mêmes et
donner ainsi naissance à "Ricciolo" (boucle de cheveux), le
tabouret qui joint l'utile à l'agréable. Packaging Collection
est comme la créativité : elle évolue et bouge régulière-
ment, offrant sans cesse de nouveaux projets, de nouvelles
solutions. Car avec les produits la Mission Lago prend
forme. Mais c'est avec le Packaging qu'il se complète.

LA MISSIONE CULTURALE DEL PRODOTTO ITALIANO
Partendo dal Manifesto Arte e Impresa che recita lo slogan: "l'impresa italiana ha
una missione culturale", il Club dei Distretti Industriali in collaborazione con
Cittadellarte ha deciso di coinvolgere l'intero tessuto distrettuale del Paese in una
serie di iniziative volte a sviluppare una forte qualificazione culturale del
prodotto italiano. L’obiettivo del progetto è individuare e definire la radice
creativa che ogni prodotto italiano incorpora e portarne nel mondo l’essenza ad
emblema del Sistema Italia.
Lago contribuisce al progetto partecipando ai workshop in programma sull’isola
di San Servolo a Venezia, esperienze innovative per l’elaborazione di idee e
progetti originali valorizzando l’individuo come persona.

Starting from the Manifesto of Art and Enterprise
supported by the slogan “The Italian business has
a cultural mission”, the Club of Industrial Districts

Lago’s contribution to the project is through their
participation to the programmed workshops on the

ects, making the most of the individual as a

Club der Industriellen Distrikte in Zusammenarbeit mit

LAGO CON PISTOLETTO SULL’ISOLA DI SAN SERVOLO A VENEZIA
Nell’ambito del progetto “L’ISOLA INTERIORE: L’ARTE DELLA SOPRAVVIVENZA”
curato da Achille Bonito Oliva e collegato alla 51° Biennale di Venezia, Lago
collabora con Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto curando l’allestimento
dell’Ufficio Produzione – BookShop.
L’allestimento prevede la collocazione di due composizioni con cubi NET
all’interno dei quali è esposta una selezione dei prodotti di Cittadellarte.
Inoltre Lago dà il proprio contributo all’ “Arte della sopravvivenza” con
un’edizione speciale dell’ormai famoso Ricciolo, diventato per l’occasione lo
“sgabello della sopravvivenza”.
Lago, convinta dell’importanza della nuova impresa responsabile, trova in queste
collaborazioni nuova linfa e stimoli per la propria creatività.

ÜBERLEBENS“ und in Verbindung mit der 51.
Kunstbiennale Venedig erfolgt eine Zusammenarbeit
von Lago mit der Cittadellarte - Pistoletto Stiftung bei
der Ausstattung des BookShop – Produktionsbüros.
Die Ausstattung sieht die Aufstellung von zwei Werken
aus Würfeln aus dem NET-Programm vor, in welchen
eine Auswahl der Cittadellarte-Produkte ausgestellt
ist. Darüber hinaus leistet Lago einen eigenen Beitrag
zur „Kunst des Überlebens“ mit einer Sonderausgabe
des nunmehr bekannten „Ricciolo“, der bei diesem
Anlaß zum “Überlebenshocker“ geworden ist.
Überzeugt von der Wichtigkeit des neuen, verantwor-
tungsbewußten Unternehmens findet Lago in diesen
Kollaborationen neue Nahrung und Anregungen für
die eigene Kreativität.
