Here I had an opportunity to start my own business. I was joint owner of a small car garage. I
Was involved with all aspects of running a small business, Managing Workloads, Inventory and
stock control, managed staff and payroll, all IT aspects were handled by myself; Email,
Security and CRM Database, banking and cash reconciliation. The role was naturally client
facing.
At JDM Motors we serviced all types of Private Light Vehicles, Motorbikes, Auto Electrics

Working here as a Field support engineer I travelled to various sites and built upon my
customer service skills. I also helped with several business migrations and IT Projects, looked
after several companies IT infrastructure and was main point of call for any IT issues.

Working here as support engineer we have a multitude of different clients with different levels
of support needed. Quires would range from I can’t open this document to the whole office has
no internet.
We use remote systems to monitor and access or client’s sites to try and diagnose and rectify
problems remotely but also being an on-site engineer I would also travel to various different
clients and fix problems on-site.

Here I worked as field based engineer dealing with all different types of problems , printers ,
scanners , viruses , adsl \ internet issues new pc setups, Wireless configs, Basically almost
any home user request. As part of Carphone Warehouse on the initial project for the first 2
iPhone launches, heading a team to prepare and setup the iPhones for all the UK stores
ensuring the phones would work and have the correct demo content applied. Vising stores to
connect their equipment to ensure device can connect to the internet.
Spending time in various Carphone Warehouse stores to provide support to the public when
they purchased equipment from a store and required help in having it set up. This was a very
customer focused role.

Here is where it all began whilst still at school had a Saturday job here which then when I left
school became my full time employment.
Here I learnt how to face the public and gain great customer service skills. Developing my
knowledge in PC hardware, building bespoke machines for clients and also configuring the
software for their needs. Working on a variety of different clients to music producers. Disabled
users and the elderly.
We also had a few small business clients and I also helped to Support them.
I dealt with all the day to day running of the shop also as part of my role.
