I manage the OS web homepage and use news judgment to balance
breaking news with enterprise journalism; manage social media
accounts; optimize publishing times accordingly, collab with
reporters to update developing stories, relevant multimedia; use
publishing tools to gauge reader engagement; alert readers to latest
developments; cover breaking news and the ongoing coronavirus
pandemic in Florida.
Reporting Intern | New York Times May—June 2019
At the NYT Student Journalism Institute, I wrote a story about an
elementary school that was almost shut down due to low
enrollment until parents, advocates took the NYC DOE to court. I
created, posted content to engage readers on the program’s Twitter.

Led a team of over a dozen news reporters, edited and published
news, life, and sports content by many more; generated story ideas;
covered, assigned breaking news; posted breaking content to NSM’s
social accounts; collaborated with editorial team and reporters on
best practices, unique ways to engage readers via social media. Took
part in breaking UCF scandal of misuse of state funds for buildings.
