‫قال أأبو حفص احلداد «التصوف لكه أأدب‪ ،‬للك وقت أأدب‪ ،‬و للك حال أأدب‪ ،‬مفن لزم ا ألدب بلغ‬
‫مبلغ الرجال‪ ،‬ومن حرم ا ألدب فهو بعيد من حيث يظن القرب و مردود من حيث الوصال»‬

‫وسأأل رومي اجلنيد عن الزهد فقال‪ :‬اس تصغار ادلنيا وحمو أاثرها من القلب وقال مرة‪ :‬هو‬
‫خلو اليد عن املكل والقلب عن التتبع‪.‬‬
‫قال سفيان الثورى «ليس الزهد يف ادلنيا بلبس اخلشن ول أألك اجلشب ‪ ،‬اإمنا الزهد يف‬
‫ادلنيا قرص ا ألمل»‬
