Institute Details:
Kallam Haranadhareddy Institute of Technology (KHIT) was established by
Kallam Academy of Educational Society in the year 2010. It has come up in an
area of 10 acres with a built-up area of more than 2 lakh sq. ft. with lush green
environment with an aim to impart quality education to students in Engineering
& Technology. The college registered a phenomenal growth and today it stands
as a premier institution offering engineering education at UG and PG levels.

In 2018 it had become the youngest college to have been accredited by the NBA
and NAAC. The college has a rich tradition of soaring high, with academic
excellence & overall personal growth of students. This is achieved by providing
excellent academic environment and infrastructure with the help of dedicated,
highly qualified and experienced team of faculty members. The Institute offers
B.Tech in ECE, CSE, EEE, CE and ME. and M.Tech in ECE, CSE, ME and CE.

ECE Department Details:

The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established

in the year 2010, with an objective to attaining global level in Electronics and
Communication Engineering education, research and training to meet the
growing needs of the industry and society, right from the inception of the
college, with an annual intake of 60 students for B.Tech programme and
subsequently the intake was enhanced to 120 in the year 2011, 180 in the year
2012.

The department applied for accreditation by National Board of Accreditation in

2017. Programmes run by the department are

B.Tech - Electronics and Communication Engineering
 M.Tech - VLSI and EMBEDDED SYSTEMS
Department also offers M.Tech programme namely M.Tech VLSI and
EMBEDDED SYSTEMS with an intake of 18. The Department has 36 eminent
faculty among them 6 Professors are having with Ph.D - Doctorate degrees. The
Department has 6 Professors, 12 Associate Professors and 18 Assistant
Professors.

Over the past few years, the department has acquired national and international
importance. This has been achieved by the collective and responsive effort of the
faculty, the supporting staff and the students. The department is well equipped
with excellent computing facilities, and has highly qualified faculty specialized
in areas like Communications, Signal processing, VLSI and IOT.. etc

Majority of the faculty members are actively involved in improving their

educational qualifications and actively engaged in research activity. The
faculties have been attending various seminars, workshops and training
programs conducted by various other reputed organizations. The teaching
methodology in the department goes beyond fulfilling the syllabus
requirements of the University, to meet the today’s industry needs. Faculty
motivates and guides the students to do mini projects in core subjects. Special
focus will be given to develop Communication and Soft Skills. The department
is having strong association with industries to uplift the students’ practical
knowledge.
