Economics survey:
Economics survey has complete information about the past , present and
future of the economy.if we have plan with better management or ideas we can achieve the goal
of economic growth otherwise its effect on a country

GDP (2010-2011):
 In 2010-2011 agriculture growth has been recorded which is 1.2% which is very low due
to the shortage of water.pakistan agicultural pefomance is dependent upon the availability
of irrigation water .the availability of water for the crops such as rice, sugarcane and
cotton has been 20 percent less than the normal supplies and 21 percent less than last year
The water availability for major crop such as wheat is 34.6 MAF, which is 5.0 percent
less than the normal availability.

 Rice is the second largest food crop in Pakistan and is a major souce of export earning.
4.4 percent of value added in agriculture and 0.9 percent in GDP. Pakistan grow high
quality rice to meet both domestic demand and exports. The production of the crop is
estimated at 4823 thousand tons, 29.9 percent less than last year due to floods of July,
2010

 Education gdp in 2010 is 2.287% and in 2011 it is 2.222% which is less than 2010 gdp
due to less fund which is given by ppp government .one another problem is teachers in
government schools are not well trained. People who donot get job in any other sector,
they try their luck in educational system. They are not professionally trained teachers so
they are unable to train a nation.

 Industrial Sector is one of great importance for economic development of every country
from 2010-11 the large scale industries gdp is 4.4% while the small scale industries gdp
is 7.5 % .The main reason by which our industry going down day by day is energy crisis.
Our country is starving in electricity, oil and gas which are the most essential
requirements to run industry.

 The government is privatizing large-scale Government owned units for to growth the gdp
of automobile.In 2010-2011 the automobile gdp is 18.2% which is less than the gdp of
2007

 In 2010 the gdp of engineering item is 2.5% which is much less than 2006 gdp which is
21.5%
GDP (2011-2012):

 In 2011-2012 agriculture growth has been recorded which is 3.1% which is much better
than previously year.In 2011 flood affects the crops like rice ,cotton and sugarcane but in
this year they performed well and give a proper security to crops.The agriculture growth
is high due to because of the farmer received good prices for rice,cotton,sugarcane.

 Cotton is cultivated on an area 2835 thousand hectares and 5.4% more than the last
year .which is much more better than previously year

 Education gdp of 2012 is 2.14% which is less than 2011 gdp which is 2.22% this is due to
less fund which is given by ppp government .one another problem is teachers in
government schools are not well trained. People who donot get job in any other sector,

 Pakistan grows a high quality of rice to fulfil the domestic demand and also for exports.
44.9 percent value added in agriculture and its gdp is 1.0 percent.this year.which better
than previous year

 Fisheries GDP is 0.3 percent. A total of 84,498 million tonnes of fish and fish were
exported during July to March 2011-12. Pakistan’s major buyers are China, Thailand,
Malaysia, Middle East, Sri Lanka and Japan. Pakistan earned $222.8 million from these
exports.

 In 2011 the gdp % of health is 3.01 but in 2012 the gdp % is 2.76.which is very less as
compare to previous year.This is just because of government policies.Government give nt
pay proper fund at given time.doctors are nt available in the hospitals,lack of bed or
strechers in the hospitals.nurses treated the patient as doctor
 GDP (2012-2013):

 In 2012 the gdp % of health is 2.76 but in 2013 the gdp % is 2.7.This is just because of
government policies.Government (PPP) give not pay proper fund at given time.doctors
are nt available in the hospitals,lack of bed or strechers in the hospitals.nurses treated the
patient as doctor

 Sugarcane production has increased to 62.5 million tonnes in 2012-13 as compared to

58.4 million tonnes last year, increase with 7.0 percent

 Kharif and rabi are two season for crops. In 2012-13, the availability of water is 14
percent less than the normal supplies. but if we compare with Kharif season 2011 it was
4.4 percent less. The water availability during Rabi season 2012-13 was estimated 31.9
MAF, which was 12.4 percent less than the normal availability, but 8.5 percent higher
than last year’s Rabi crop.

 FBR tax collection in this year 2012-13 was Rs.2,381 billion which was 26.4 percent
higher over the actual collection of Rs.1883.0 billion during 2011-12.

 Education gdp of 2013 is 2.49% which is better than 2012 gdp which is 2.14% .In this
year government build well developed schools and hiers pofessional teachers.and give
free books to the government institute or childrens
 GDP (2013-2014):

 In 2013-2014 agriculture growth has been recorded which is 2.1% which is very low due
to the shortage of water.pakistan agicultural pefomance is dependent upon the availability
of irrigation water .the availability of water for the kharif crops has been 13.5 percent and
2.4% less than the normal supplies of 67.1MAF. The water availability during Rabi
season 2013-14 was estimated at 32.5 MAF, which was 1.9 percent higher than last
year’s Rabi crop

 Education gdp of 2014 is 2.45% which is less than 2013 gdp which is 2.49% this is due to
less fund which is given by government(PMLN).They want to use their money in some
other activities.

 In 2013-2014 cotton having 1.4 percent in GDP and 6.7 percent in agriculture . During
2013-14, the crop was cultivated on an area of 2806 thousand hectares, 2.5 percent less
than last year area of 2879 thousand hectares. The cotton production is decreased due to
fall in the area sown which is due to less rates of cotton nationally

 GDP (2014-2015):

 In 2014-2015 agriculture growth has been recorded which is 20.9% of GDP.which much
greater than 2013-2014 GDP values. Food security is essential for agriculture production.
The government is just focusing on, how to cultivate more agriculture it may be possible
if government minimizing cost of production to increase farmers’ interest in agriculture.

 Sugarcane is an important cash crop of Pakistan.It is mainly cultivated for sugar

production along with an input for pape and board industry. Sugarcane accounts for 3.1%
in agriculture and 0.6 percent in GDP this year. The cropped area for sugarcane is 1141
thousand hectares
against last year’s area of 1173 thousand hectares showing a decrease of 2.7 percent. The
decrease in production is due to decrease in cropped area over last year

production is increased due to the more profitable market prices
