Allgemeines zu Hardware, Software und Betriebssystem

Die Datenverarbeitung bei einem Computer funktioniert nach dem System:

Eingabe – Verarbeitung – Ausgabe (EVA)

Daten werden in den Computer, z.B. per Maus oder Tastatur, eingegeben. Der Computer kann
diese Daten verarbeiten und sie anschließend wieder ausgeben. Die Ausgabe passiert
üblicherweise auf dem Bildschirm.

1.1 Was man so alles braucht...

Für die Verarbeitung der Daten werden verschiedene Komponenten benötigt:
Hardware, Betriebssystem und Anwendersoftware.

Hardware:
Hardware ist all das am Computer, was man anfassen kann
(Eingabe-, Ausgabegeräte, Prozessor, Speichermedien ...)

Betriebssystem: (Windows XP, Windows ME, Linux...)

Das Betriebssystem steuert den Betrieb des Computers. Es verwaltet Betriebsmittel wie
Speicher, Ein- und Ausgabegeräte sowie die Ausführung von Programmen. Ein Betriebssystem
macht die Hardware erst nutzbar für den Anwender.

Anwendersoftware:
Anwendersoftware sind Programme, die nützliche Funktionen für den Anwender bereitstellen,
z.B. das Schreibprogramm Word 2003.
