intro - idk why but for some reason I don’t like intros in albums usually.

This
didn’t stick with me, would probably skip in the future. 3/10

bad luck - I like the beat in the beginning and the guitar plucking sounds (?). If
ur gonna love him U gotta love all of him. This was def a smooth bop, I would
listen to this while cleaning. 5/10

My bad - Good head bob song. 5/10

better - I feel the same as the other 2 songs, solid beat. Was that a melodica at
the end? 5/10

talk - ooooo I like this song the best so far. I love this intro beat and sound. I
really like the like marimba/bell/synth whatever sound in the background that’s
giving a small melody on top of the beat. For some reason this gives me like a
early 2000’s R&B vibe. 8/10

Right back - I feel like I don’t like the verse part of this song as much, I think
maybe because there’s not as much of a solid beat as the other songs. It gets
better as the song goes along but I’m not a huge fan of the beginning 4/10

Don’t Pretend - I think this song is solid but it seems to blend in with the first
3 songs. Khalid definitely has a super defined style and it seems like he sticks to
it in a lot of these songs. They’re good but I don’t think they’re super memorable
5/10

Paradise - ugh I love the beginning sound that this song starts with and flows
through the song. I think maybe a bass guitar with some type of effect on it. I
think that the singing doesn’t go so well over it but I love the funky bass rhythm.
I think it made me wish for a funkier song. 6/10

Hundred - This is more upbeat and poppy sounding than the past couple songs. I
think this song is solid but it falls into the super defined style that Khalid
seems to have so it doesn’t stand out to me a ton unfortunately. the rhythm of some
of the lyrics in this like “the world keeps spinning….” reminds me of dreams by
fleetwood mac a lil 5/10

Outta my head - I am not surprised to see a collab with John Mayer. Khalid seems to
remind me of a cooler (maybe more mentally stable) John Mayer. I like the funky
beat in this again but I want MORE funk. I like the chorus of this song. 5/10

Free Spirit - very soft, not a huge fan of acoustic music - 4/10

Twenty One - This song has a super poppy, upbeat sound. I’m a fan of it so far. it
feels like this song has a lot of build up to the chorus but it doesn’t come out as
strong as it sounds like it leading up to. 6/10

Bluffin - I really like this a lot, the beat is really simple but powerful. This
song grabbed my attention when it started. 7/10

Self - I like Khalid’s speaking/singing voice more than his more drawn out crooning
voice. This song has a lot more of the former. 6/10

Alive - didn’t stick out to me 5/10

Heaven - I’m not a fan of the crooning in this - 4/10

Saturday Night - very mellow, I like the beat of it - 6/10

Overall I think the album was good but I think the issue I had was a lot of the
songs really blended with each other and didn’t stick out a lot. I’m not a fan of
Khalid’s style of crooning over whatever smooth chill beat he has most the time.
There were a couple of solid songs on this album but I don’t think I would listen
to the entire album again 6/10
