1.0 SUBJECT

Tests and inspections to be performed on the Control & Protection panels after
installation.

2.0 GENERAL

2.1 Instruments used in testing

- Tester

2.2 Requirements and limits to be respected

- The Contractor will carry out the works of assembly, inspection, check and
restoration, etc., necessaries to prepare the panels ready for commissioning
operations.
- The tests will be performed according to I.E.C standards and Manufacturer’s
instructions.

3.0 CHECKS

It’s assumed that the testing and preparation procedures can start only when the
panels are completely assembled and connected, with power off.

3.1 Preliminary checks with power off

Visual inspection to verify:

- The preservation conditions.
- Identification, checking the data plate, of all components of the system.
- The panel protection and functional groundings correct connection.
- Internal and external cleanliness of the panel.
- Disconnect and test as per STD-EI-110:
.Supply cables (insulation and correct connection test).
.Control and signalling cables, connected to the temporary terminal boards
and tested..
.Heaters power supply (insulation check)
.Test of interconnection cables with the other systems.
- Panel insulation check. Expected values about tens of Mohms.

4.0 FINAL SETUP

The panel shall be consigned for commissioning operations in the following

conditions:
- Power, cables connected and tested.
- Control and signalling cables connected to the temporary terminal boards and
tested.
- The internal checks. mechanical and electrical, performed.
- Grounding connections, tested and tightened.
- The panel and its components, clean.
- The installation room clean and free from foreign materials.
- The cables trenches, clean and closed.
- The internal equipments where the panel lay (lighting, M.P., ground
connection, etc..) ready to put in service.

5.0 ANNEXES

The test form, to prove by documents the preparation operations performance,

is the following:
