2.2. Fixed issues
2.2.1. Addition of function/ Change of specifications
1. Paper will not be fed when there is a paper size mismatch between the one set on the panel and the actual one of main
scan direction (CD) on the manual bypass tray.
2. Change of the error message screen which appears when there is a size mismatch between a print job and actual paper.
3. In accordance with marketing area, the setting of auto media size detection of the manual bypass tray is set to Metric /
Inch size only.
By the following Engine firmware Dip switch, it can be changed to detect Metric and Inch mixed sizes as same as the
current model.

2.2.2. The following issues are solved in this firmware.
1. When perform FAX sending by Direct Input, it is able to send to the same address. [PEBJKA12009045]
2. The following symptoms occur if the custom size original is copied with 2-Sided. [PEBJTK13000175]
- The image on back side is shifted to Main Scanning.
- The black line (image of Non-Image Area) is printed.
3. If the large TIFF file is sent by using Scan to SMB, memory overflow does not occur and all page is not sent.

In this firmware, if the large TIFF file is sent by using Scan to SMB, memory overflow occurs.
4. When using Fax Forwording function, the I-FAX job may not be forwarded if I-FAX job is received while the MFP is in sleep

5. OOXML error report is printed when specified docx file is transmitted directry to MFP. [PEBJNG13001377]
6. The Group destination is not imported even if the exported Address data in USB memory is imported. [PEBJNG12006419]

- The position of characters are not printed correctly.
- The characters overlap.
8. When printing the specific PDF file by direct print, the characters are garbled. [PEBJNG13000921]
9. When using User Authentication, the job is deleted from the blank page because of error if the job that includes the blank

88. When using User Authentication, Panel lock occurs if log out on Job History of send screen while Off-Hook is used.
89. If Color and Black mixed originals are printed after saving in User Box from printer driver, the color select button is
displayed.
90. When HDD is not installed, HDD Lock Password can be entered.
If HDD Lock Password can be entered, MFP hangs up.
91. When the document is saved in user box using the Preview function, if performing the next scanning after select stop
button and deleting the page, Panel lock (C-E301）occurs.

92. C-E301 occurs if the document saved in User Box is deleted while performing Scan to SMB.
93. When printing the specific file by direct print, "Deleting document....." keeps displaying if the jon is deleted.
94. When "Overwrite All Data" for HDD is performed, the following marketing Area settings are changed to "Europe".
- Other 1/2/3/4/5
95. The Current Time is delayed for about 1sec. in the following cases.
- Main power SW is turned off and on
96. "Please turn main switch off and on."(FA14) may be displayed if the Sleep mode is repeated.
97. The Reverse roller may continue to be rotated.
98. The image density for Thick1 may be dark.
99. If printing the job immediately after returning Sleep Mode, Fusing Motor may not be rotated in high speed.
100. In TX Operation Log, Address information is garbled and log is not ordered in time.
Caution:
If language of the Address Book differs from the panel languages after this firmware is installed, Address information is
garbled.
So please match the both language if output TX Operation Log.
101. The job can not be printed out because PJL ECHO replies twice.
102. If second authentication for password copy is failed, error sound does not ring.

103. If "ON (Wintout Login)" is selected in Public User Access setting, the following symptoms occur.
<Symptom 1>
1.Place IC card on AU-201 while the MFP is in sleep mode.
2. Log out by ID Key.
Log in by IC card information in "procedure 1"
<Symptom 2>
Place IC card on AU-201 while the MFP is in sleep mode on the enlarge Display Mode.
The Authentication screen of the enlarge Display keeps displaying without log in.
104. C-FA14 occurs if the following procedure is operated.
1.The job is canceld immediately after the spesific PPML file is sent by lpr command.
2.Enter Low Power mode and return Low Power mode.
105. If Job List button is selected after the color restricted warning is displayed on Scan/Fax screen, C-E301 occurs.

107. When sending the print job while spooling the job, the job can not be printed out.

118. When the main power switch is ON, MFP may reboot repeatedly on InfoPalette screen.
119. When the password input request function is enabled, the Basic screen is displayed even if the following button is selected
and the password is entered.

- One-Touch/User Box Registration
- Banner Printing
120. The machine may not enter the sleep mode after displaying the Preview with 2-Sided mode by the Dual Scan Document
Feeder.
121. Image shift may occur if the main power switch is turned ON while the front door of FS-534 is opened.
122. When MFP is entered Low Power mode, the received Fax completed sound does not ring.
123. Transmission error prevention is added.
124. If the scan job with the following settings is deleted, jam occurs in ADF.
- 200dpi or 300dpi
- Mixed original by Same Width
- Black
125. If User Paper 5 is selected and printing from PS Driver, the data light keeps flashing and the job is never printed.
126. C-E301 (detail codes:0xC08D) may occur.
127. Memory RX User Box can not be accessed from HDD TWAIN.
128. When printing the specific PDF file, PS error page is printed out and "Job Complete" is displayed in Log.
129. If Punch function is useed by Gloss mode, an abnormal noise may occur.
130. J72-21 may occurson FS-533.
131. C-1004 may occur if the following procedure is operated repeatedly.
- Sleep mode and printing are repeated.
132. On the MFP with ZU-606 is installed, Jam may occur by Gloss mode.
2.2.3. The following is modified in this firmware.
1. It is added the function that MFP is rebooted on time.
HEX Assignment 00 : This function is not used. (default)
HEX Assignment 01 : This function is used.
If Serial Number of Vendor in service mode is input, you can use this function.
The double digits for Serial Number of Vendor is used for this function.

First digit : Setting for reboot condition.
- "0" : MFP is not rebooted while receiving the job.
- "1" : MFP is rebooted while receiving the job (except in case of MFP is receiving the Fax job and MFP is running.)
Last digit : Setting for reboot time.
- "0" : MFP is rebooted at AM 4:00.
- "1" : MFP is rebooted at AM 4:15
- "2" : MFP is rebooted at AM 4:30
*If it is entered except the above number, this function does not work.
MFP tries to reboot at the reboot time.
If MFP is running the appropriate job, MFP is not rebooted, and then MFP tries to reboot twice after every 30 minute.

3. Functional restrictions
1. If the following procedure is operated by using XPS driver, all sheets are printed out as one set though multiple sets of
copies are specified on the printer driver. (This is a problem caused by the application software.)
1. Set the number of copies on the Adobe Acrobat X.
2. Open "Page Setup..." and printing the job after click "OK" button.
[Workaround]
Set the number of copies in properties of the printer driver.
2. An MS-Excel file that can be printed as one page with 600dpi setting may be printed in 2 pages if the res olution is changed
from 600dpi to 1200dpi. (This is a problem caused by the application software.)

3. If the IPP connection is selected on the Port setting of XPS Driver and the preview function is enabled, the following
symptom occurs. (This is a problem caused by the OS.)
-Although the print job is correctly completed, an error job remains in the spooler. The error job will be automatically deleted
afterward.
4. Printing becomes impossible when XPS driver is installed by the following procedure (SMB). (This is a problem caused by
the OS.)
- XPS driver is installed by SMB Browsing from Network.
- XPS driver is installed by IP Address Browsing from Network.
[Workaround]
Perform the following steps, when you install the XPS driver via SMB.
1. Open the Devices and Printers, then click [Add a printer].
2. Select the [Local printer].
3. Select the [Create a new port] and choose the [Local Port].
4. Enter "\\NetBios name\service name" for the [Port Name].
5. If the "readme" is opened by the Auto Run in the CD-ROM that is comes with the MFP using IE8 or IE9 then print it by using
XPS preview function, an error message is displayed and it can not be printed.
This is a problem caused by the IE9.
Please do not open a file from the link of Auto Run and Please open a file directly.
6. When log into the Authentication web site from Web Browser, you can not log in if characters other than one-byte
characters are used.
Only one-byte characters are supported for the Authentication web site from Web Browser.

7. Some content may not be displayed in the specific web site.
Please zoom in the web site.
8. The Print and Delete button which has grayed out on the User Box in PSWC can be pressed.

4. How to install
4.1. How to install program
Use USB memory to install. For the details, see the Service Manual.
Conditions for USB memory which can be used for updating the firmware are as follows:
- Securities such as data encryption and password lock shall be released, or the security function shall be turned Off.
- Memory with 1 GB to 2 GB are recommended (One with 4 GB or more may not operate)
- Compatible with USB Version 1.0/2.0 interface
- Formatted with FAT32 type
- A USB flash memory that appears as multiple drives on a computer cannot be used.
4.2. How to check card version
[ROM version]:
You can check the ROM version in service mode, "Firmware Version"
For the details, see the Service Manual.

The following options are required to use the voice guidance function.

4.5. How to install OCR Dictionary Data for Searchable PDF and PDF/A Font Data

Install Font Data for LPR using LPR command from the PC.
Install Font Data for USB using USB memory.

4.7. How to install Loadable Driver
1. Extract the attached exe file and save "xxxxxx.tar" file to root directory of USB memory.

2. Insert the USB memory to USB port of MFP.
3. Call the Service Mode to the screen.
4. Touch [System 2] -> [Driver Install].
5. Touch [SET] and press "Start" button to start installing the data.
6. Check that data is normally installed from the message that appears on the control panel.
7. Turn OFF/ON the main switch.
8. In the Service Mode> Billing Setting> Management Function Choice, select "Card" or "Body" in "Authentication
Device2" and press "OK" button.
9. Turn OFF/ON the main switch.
