given lots of medicines in
order to get better in time
for Ratha Yatra.

BRAMACARI TRAINING
This month saw the start of bramacari training
and education for all Temple residents. The
classes take place 3 days a week for 1 and a
half hours a day. The devotees are currently
studying an overview of the Srimad
Bhagavatam.

OUT AND ABOUT WITH THE TEMPLE

PRESIDENT

During the month of June, Jai Nitai dasa carried out the following engagements:

On the 5th June, facilitated a university programme at the Temple with special guest,
HH Devamrita Swami.

On the 6th June, gave an evening class at the home of the Dattani family.
There were 30 devotees in attendance.

On the 15th June, gave the Sunday Feast talk at ISKCON London entitled “Krsna
Consciousness – the journey of self discovery”.

On the 16th June, attended a house programme at Patron member Vivek Mehta’s home
with Sanatana Goswami dasa.

On the 20th June, gave a talk at the Pandava Sena East London Jammin.

On the 21st June, visited the home of Ram Charan dasa (Temple Finance Controller)
with Radha Londonishvara dasa for prasadam and sanga.

On the 23rd June, left for a 3 week break to visit family in the USA.

NIRJALA EKADASI
On Saturday 14th June it was Nirjala Ekadasi - the day of total fast from water and food.
We celebrated this holy day with 24 hour bhajans in the Temple room organised by HG
Radha Londonishvara dasa.

NEW COURSE
The course details are:
Course facilitator: HG Jai Nitai dasa
Course term: 5 weeks
The course will run either on
Saturday evenings starting on
19th July at 6.00pm to 8.00pm
or on Thursday evenings starting
on 17th July at 7.00pm to
9.00pm. Please indicate which
day you will be attending when
you sign up for the course.
The topics to be covered are:
- Search for Happiness
- Does God Exist,
- Are the Vedas the Word of God, Why do -
- Bad Things Happen To Good People,
- Practical Application
We will also look into the basic topics cov-
ered in the Bhagavad-Gita such as:
- Karma
- Re-incarnation
- Three modes of Nature
- Validity of Scripture
- God as a Person
The aim is to put these teachings
into action. This course is a certi-
fied course at a foundational
level and is a requirement for
potential Bhakti Sastri candidates
or those seeking initiation.

LEAVERS
On the 16th June we said goodbye (temporarily we hope!) to Bhakta Arjuna and Bhakta
Niket. They were staying in the Temple for several weeks to learn about ashram life and
preaching in the city.

FOOD FOR LIFE

For the month of June, we distributed over 1,260 plates of prasadam.

HARINAMA
We continue to have daily harinams every day led by HG Krsna Vidhi dasa. These hari-
nams go out at 3.30pm from the top of Soho Street – please join us if you can.

CORPORATE PREACHING
On the 6th June, Jai Nitai dasa gave a talk at Accenture in Central London. There were
approximately 45 office employees in attendance and several more via conference call.
The talk was very successful and as a result Jai Nitai dasa has been invited back to give
regular Bhagavad-Gita talks at Accenture.

Feedback we received from an attendee of the talk:

It was such a pleasure listening to your lecture at Accenture.

Apart from writing plenty of notes, immediately after the lecture I was asked to illus-
trate your concepts by a couple of colleagues of mine who could not attend because of
a previous engagement. So now I have memorized them quite well.

It was excellent food for thought and a great way to end my working week.

Please keep me informed about the yoga courses that will start in September at the
temple.
