I.

Introduction
Judel: A very good evening to everyone and welcome to Genaro Jr. and Naneth Wedding Reception. We
are done with the solemn part of the celebration and we thank those people who were with us earlier at
the Sunset Garden Wedding, Imelda Public Plaza.

Leah: And for those who just joined in, Welcome! And so, here we are on this lovely reception at
Malicdem compound, Brgy. Linmansangan , Mangatarem, Pangasinan for the most exciting part –The
wedding Reception for our newlyweds in celebration of the beginning of their new life together.

So sit down, relax and enjoy the rest of the evening.

I am Mr. Judel R. Dones

I am Leah G. Fernandez,

Both: and we are your masters of ceremonies for tonight.

Judel: We thank you all for gracing this joyful occasion especially to those who have traveled to the
province just to be with us.

Leah: In behalf of Genaro Jr. and Naneth and their parents, we would like to express their heartfelt
gratitude for your presence at this memorable occasion. It is indeed a pleasure to have you all tonight.

Judel: First off, I would like to introduce the family and friends who played significant parts in this
evening wedding rites.

II. Entourage
Judel: Please take your seat as we welcome the bridal entourage. Put our hands together to the loving
parents of the couple.

The parents of the groom, Mr. Genaro F. Cayago Sr. & Mrs. Marissa N. Cayago.

And the parents of the bride, Mr. Ernesto D. Malicdem & Mrs. Narrisa G. Malicdem

May I introduce to you the people who stood witnesses to the couple as they took their vows.

Judel: The Couple

At this point I assume that everyone has settled down and we are all ready to welcome the
newlyweds. Tonight calls a grand celebration and it is our distinct pleasure to introduce to you for the
very first time Genaro Jr. and Naneth as Husband and wife. So without further ado, let us all rise and
give our warmest welcome to Mr. and Mrs. Genaro Jr. and Naneth Cayago ……….. Music Maestro
III. Opening Prayer
Judel: Ladies and gentlemen, please stand as we hear a few words a prayer of thanks for God’s grace
to be led by Ms. Leah G. Fernandez.

IV. Presentation
Leah: Congratulations Genaro Jr. And Naneth and best wishes to both of you. We wish you to be
blessed with a long and happy life together with your future children.

So there you have it ladies and gentlemen our new lovely couple. Let us again give them a big
round of applause. You may take your seats.

V. Ceremonies
Judel: A wedding celebration woudn’t be complete without our traditional ceremonies for newly-wed
couples. To start with we have…..

Leah: The Traditional Cake Slicing Ceremony

May I request Genaro Jr. and Naneth to prepare fo the cake slicing ceremony. The cake, which
has been a part of wedding celebrations since the Roman times, is a symbol of good luck and fertility.
The sharing of this food symbolizes the couples’ willingness to fulfill each other’s needs, creating a bond
so simple yet so strong.

Judel: Up next……

The Traditional Wine-Toasting Ceremony

I would like to call the best man. Wine toasting is a symbol of us wishing the couple of good
fortune and better future and the best life possible for them.

May we request everyone, lahat po tayo, let us all have a toast with the newlyweds.

Leah: Now we have the……..

The Traditional Dove-Releasing Ceremony

Doves, they say are a symbol of true love. The white dove chooses its mate for life. They
symbolize fidelity, true love, new beginnings and of course peace and serenity.
VII. Games

Judel: Let’s add more fun and excitement in this edding celebration through a game. May we request
the single ones to stay put for the Single Games.

GIRLS GAME: Catch the Flower

May I request all the ladies, lahat po ng mga nag-gagandahang dilag nati na sumali. Please join
our traditional catching the bouquet . May I request our bride to proceed here. Accoding to ancient
beliefs, kung sino man daw ang makaka-salo sa bouquet, siya na ang susunod na ikakasal.

Leah: BOYS GAME:

Groom to get garter from the bride

Groom to give the garter to the winning boy

Winning bo and girl to copy whatever the couple is doing

VIII. Prosperity Dance


Judel: Ladies and Gentlemen, we now come to that very special pat of every wedding party, the bridal
waltz.

This is the moment when the groom walks his bride to the dance floor and they begin a dance that
will last the rest of their lives. Put our hands together for Genaro Jr. and Naneth as they begin their
special waltz as husband and wife.

IX. Messages
Leah: Now we would like to proceed with some messages from friends and family of the couple. These
are the people who Genaro Jr. and Naneth blossom into a serious relationship. (close friend, 1 set of
Ninong and Ninang.

Thank you to our loving friends, ninong, ninang and parents. And this time, the couple would
like to say a few words.

X. Closing Remarks
Judel: And that’s about it. Thank you very much everyone for coming this evening. I am sure Genaro Jr.
and Naneth will never forget this day and will never forget that you have been part of it. For those who
are going home, May God bless you. Be safe everyone. And for those who are staying, the night is young
