Performance Report –Personal skills development Module
Semester 2, cohort 2010-2012
Seven candidates got a resit in continuous assessment or in whole module (both coursework and semester exam). Out
of these 7 candidates, 2 candidates (Lubine Didier Kendy and Ramdowar M. O. Reza) has been considered as drop out as
he has secured a job since September 2013. 1 candidate (Shiblall Dhanush Akash) expressed his intentions of dropping
out and lost motivation and was scarcely present in class during the second half of the semester despite our efforts and
was considered as drop out.
As for the remaining 4 candidates, records show that they did not submit 1 or more of the 4 assignments given despite
being given extensions. Furthermore signs of plagiarism was detected in 1 of the coursework among the majority of the
students. Again a warning and an extension was given for re-submission and all but 2 of the 4 re-sit candidates re-
submitted their work. Final reminder was sent by email to the candidates on 15/10/2013
General Comments
1. Out of the 7 candidates for has obtained a re-sit in coursework or whole module, 3 are considered as drop out.
2. Candidates who failed in coursework did so because they either did not submit their work or because they did
not resubmit their own work when requested despite having given extensions and reminders until the very end
of the semester.
3. Candidates who failed in the semester examination did rather well during the coursework and were expected to
perform better.
