As we know that culture has an important element in an organization, this element will help to make

the company becomes more successful in the future and attract more employees and customers.
There are three parts that culture can help a business more successful. They include promoting
critical awareness of culture among its personnel; increasing their cultural awareness through an
understanding of the cultural system of values, assumptions, and symbols; providing opportunities
for its employees to become more culturally sensitive.

First, let’s talk about promoting critical awareness of culture among its personnel can lead the
organization more successful. In the article “The Five Elements of Great Organizational Cultures” by
Andy Cabistan, he defined the five elements of organizational culture, “I have come up with five
elements that are essential to building and sustaining great organizational cultures. Those elements
are purpose, ownership, community, effective communication, and good leadership” (Cabistan,
2016, para.1). From this definition, Andy pointed out these five elements in organizational culture.
For the purpose element, the company needs to build a strong goal of the company by developing
teamwork. The idea of a mission statement needs to be clear as well. The ownership element is
important as well. The ownership element will help the employees have their responsibilities for their
duties and give the employees time to complete their target. From there, each employee will know
the current status of their position at the company. The next element is the community. The
community in a company is the employees who have the same goal and similar position
performance at the workplace. This will build a stronger colleagueship in the organization. The
effective communication element is an important key as well. This will help each team member or
co-worker in a company can learn and understand more each other. They can also learn the positive
and negative sides of each other. From there, they can help out each other to move further in the
future in the same workplace. The lase element is good leadership. If there is just teamwork, it is not
enough to develop an organization. Good leadership will lead the team in the right manner with good
ethics, passions, and compassion. In short, these five elements will promote critical awareness of
culture among its personnel to bring a company to a better place.

Now, let's talk about increasing cultural awareness through an understanding of the cultural system
of values, assumptions, and symbols. We know that many workers come from many other countries
in the world. We can call the diversity of culture. A good company is an organization that the leaders
and employees need to understand the values of the culture bring to them. Each worker in the
company can learn from each other culture. All of these can make a diversity symbol to their
organization. David Ingram can prove this through the article “Promotion & Awareness of Cultural
Diversity in the Workplace.” He mentioned, “Cultural awareness is achieved when all employees in a
company can appreciate the benefits of cultural diversity” (Ingram, n.d., para.2).

Last, cultural awareness can provide opportunities for its employees to become more culturally
sensitive. What does it mean? This means that the diversity of an organization can bring more
cultural ideas to the company. This will bring more benefits to the workers. Another benefit of
diversity is that the company can approach with more diverse customers in the future. In the same
article by Andy Cabistan, he said, “Companies need to offer individuals a sense of belonging and a
mission to accomplish something remarkable. With no culture, an organization is not sustainable in
the 21st century” (Cabistan, 2016, para.1). This is a true statement in the 21st century if an
organization wants to have more accomplishments.
