Course work:
The breakdown of the course work assessment is as below –
1. Assignments – there will be two written assignments, one due on fourth
meeting and another one on last meeting, Each written assignment worth
20% (altogether 40%) and the assignments must be handed in on time.
Assignment 1 (Individual):
You may choose one of the topics discussed in this course and write a 10 – 20
pages conceptual paper (double space) elaborating the contents of the chosen
topic and relate them to the higher education environment. In writing your
assignment, you have to choose at least two articles from journals such as
Quality in Higher Education, Quality Assurance in Education, Higher Education
Management and Policy, Higher Education Quarterly and Higher Education to
assist you in writing the assignment. A copy of the journals must be attached to
your assignment.
Final exam:
There will be a two hours final exam worth 30% conducted at the end of the
semester.
