Common Core Math Eight (CCM8) and Math 1 Syllabus

Welcome to another school year. I am excited about ge ng to know you and look forward to a happy and very
produc ve school year. Below are various classroom procedures and expecta ons from me for this year.

Google Meet Expecta ons Assignments

Links will be posted in Google Classroom
● A endance - it is the expecta on that you a end
ONE of the live sessions offered for your class each
day.
● Be on me - know your schedule!
● Mute yourself
● Turn video on
● No talking while teacher is talking
● Meet from quiet spot where you can focus
● Be prepared
● Be respec ul - do NOT use chat for side
conversa ons
● Make sure devices are charged
● Raise hand or use chat to ask ques ons
Assignments are linked in the unit Slideshows or are
posted in Google Classroom. Students are expected to
complete all assignments the day they are assigned.
Pictures of your work will be uploaded digitally to your
Weekly Math Stampsheet (unless directed otherwise)
by Sunday at 5pm.
Progress Checks will be given through pla orms such as
Google Forms weekly or biweekly depending on the
progress of the unit.
Tests will be announced. All assignments for a unit are
expected to be submi ed prior to taking the unit test.

Absences Integrity

If you are absent from class for any reason it is YOUR Copying or chea ng will not be tolerated. This will
responsibility to: result in an automa c parent contact and poten ally a
zero for the assignment/assessment. Do your own
1) watch the daily recap video work!
2) copy the notes from the day(s) you missed
3) submit HW to Weekly Math Stampsheet and *If you allow others to copy off of your work you will
complete Progress Check (if given) receive the same consequences.*

Workbooks Grading
Digital workbooks are posted in Google Classroom. Hard
copy workbooks are $10.00 each to replace. Grading categories are Classwork (30%), Quiz (30%),
and Test (40%)
