Yulia:Music habits(introduction)

Yulia:Question for the audience: In your opinion, why do our music habits change throughout our
lives? What influences our habits? (Ideas of Influence: mood, an environment where you are, friends,
parents, music fashion or fashion trends, even an application on your phone or streaming-services.)
Let’s check your ideas.

Yulia:Nastya, what about you, what is your music habit?

Nastia: Oh, cool question Julia!

Nastia: I don't have a single favorite singer or band but I adore Indie rock and Country music.

Nastia: 6 STRANGE MUSIC HABITS

1. Listening to the same song over and over again

2. Nodding your head aggressively

3. Spending hours memorizing lyrics just to impress

4. Listening to music wayyyyy too loud

5. Playing music in the shower

6. Singing out loud in public

Nastia: I'm 100% sure that something from this list is exactly what you do. Julia, what do you do always
from this list?

Yulia: answer

Yulia: I’ve asked 4 people. (I asked these questions) What music did you use to listen to? What do you
listen to mow? When do you listen to music? What do you do during listening? Do you have any music
habits? Do you play any musical instruments?

Arsen: He likes depressive music, laconic and very melancholic music; likes learning song lyrics. Now he
is interested in modern American rap, also postmodern in music. Usually, Arsen listens to music on the
way to the work, sings along to the music.

Dasha: she used to listen to American rap, for example, Lil Peep, XXXTENTATION, 2pac, 50 cent. For
now, the situation has changed and Dasha likes listening to English Christian music. She noticed that
music has a huge impact on her mood, that’s why she’s changed her tastes. She listens to music when
she goes somewhere.

Elina, plays a piano and guitar: As long as she can remember, she has always been in music. She has a
passion for music. In her childhood, she used to listen to rock music, for example, Rammstein as her
parents’ used. Since childhood, she has played the guitar and a little bit piano.(I’ve started to play the
guitar because my mother didn’t allow me to watch football matches on TV and I never slept at night)
Now, she is a music lover, she likes Spanish and Korean music, jazz, pop, rock. She listens to music when
has free time. She has a huge motivation for self-development in this area.

and the cherry on the cake

Andrew, plays the guitar (p.s the most eccentric person): when he listens to music, he acts like he’s
playing the guitar, he likes singing along to the music and singing fictional music in a fictional language,
stomping his foot to the rhythm. Andrew listens to rock, rap, and classical music (Jackson). He hasn’t
changed his tastes from fourteen. Generally speaking though, he listens to music all the time. The most
terrible thing is the broken headphones.

On the whole, according to my survey, I find out that our music habits are influenced by music trends,
our personal preferences, mental health, mood, and the atmosphere around us. In most cases, our
respondents say in childhood they used to tend to listen to rock music as their parents. So, parents have
a profound impact on children. Nowadays, the most popular is the new-school American rap. A common
habit is listening to music when you do something.

Yulia: What about you, Natia? What questions did you ask? What answers did you get?

Nastia: (I asked these questions)

We interviewed people on these question :

1.What kind of music do you like to listen the most?

2.Do you listen only our singers or band or foreign ones?

3.Does music distract or motivate you to do something?

and received the following answers

IRA: Most of all I like Hip-Hop. My playlist consists more of foreign music, but I also love our. Of course
music motivates me.

INNA: I don't have a specific genre. I listen to almost everything except Rock. Music doesn’t motivate
me, but distracts me. I listen to music only when I have free time.

ANNA: I can't imagine my life without music. Most of the time I listen to our music. I don't like foreign
ones because I don't understand it. I don't see the sence in listening to music I don't understand. Music
is always with me.

Yulia: Nastia, great answers thank you so much for sharing! What about world statistic?

Nastia: The statistic provides data on favorite music genres among consumers in the world as of July
2019, sorted by age group. According to the source, 52 percent of respondents aged 16 to 19 years old
stated that pop music was their favorite music genre, compared to 19 percent of respondents aged 65
or above.

Nastia: End: Now, let’s listen to the songs that modern teenagers are interested in.

Elina: Nickelback - if today was your last day

Andrew: Bob Dylan knocking on heaven's door
