4 USE TERMS
The effective value of the capacity is in function of the viscosity, the specific weight of the pumping
liquid and the relative loss of cargo
The capacities and the pressures indicated on the tables, are obtained
with an operation at a constant pressure with water at 15° and the pump
situated at 30 cm over the first hair of the water.
The power of the motor mounted on the pump is suitable for an use at
max higher of 1000 m on the s.l. and for an use in an ambient with
temperature from +5 °C to +40 °C and for.
For terms use different from the above description the coefficient changes

5 PUMP PREVIEWED USE

The pump application range is, to dose liquid substances suitable with the pump material execution
Before to buy the pump, the customer, will have to inform about the liquid that the pump will have to
dose, with this information, our commercial office will decide the pump head execution
In a case that the pump will be use in other works process, to re-use the pump, the customer will have
to request to our technical office, information about his own pump type for a correct use.

5.1 RESIDUAL RISKS

x A risk type could derive from the eventually losses from the stuffing box, ‘caused for the effect of
usury of the gaskets, the liquid must be driven in a suitable place for the elimination or the
accumulation.
x In the case happens breaches once emptied the system, remove pressure from the pump and
proceed to a capillary washing with its adapts average (attacks) and with adapted substances.
Only later on it will be able to proceed to the dismantling of the pump not forgetting that the
operator will have to wear all the adapted protections (gloves, glasses, shoes, coveralls).

6 TRANSPORT, MOVEMENT AND STORAGE

Usually the customer chooses the courier; therefore these two figures
(customer and courier) will be responsible of the pump’s transport.
It's necessary to transport and move the pump in a vertical
position never in a horizontal position.
The pump of this model is packed with single boxes only upon
customer request it’s possible to realize personalized packing. If the
pump has to stay long time out of service especially before the starting
up on have to proceed to fill the reducer with oil type SAE 85W120 to
avoid the oxidation of the components. The storage must be effected in
a dry atmosphere with sufficient air re-circulating faraway from heat
sources and with a temperature between.+5°C and +40 °C.

6.1 CONTROL OF EVENTUAL TRASPORT DAMAGES

Before the pack opening we advise to verify the box status, because in a case of visible damages the
end-user must have to contact immediately the courier and contest what’s happened. Subsequently on
have to execute a carefully control of the content to be able to understand and to signal eventually
damages endured during the transport or moving operations.

7 BLOCKS REMOVAL
Before the pump installation it’s necessary to remove the
protection stoppers, putting in the valve aspiration and suction
mouths.

8 PUMP INSTALLATION
8.1 PUMP’S LODGING

9 It’s necessary to preview a sufficient space (operating area) to

be able to control and to dismantle the pump in particular near
the hydraulic side (pumping head) and in correspondence of
the regulation knob.
9 The pump must be installed in a vertical position, (placed over
a strong plate of metallic or concrete) as showed on the figure.
9 If the pump has to be installed outside it’s necessary to
preview an adapted protection shed to be sure to protect the
pump from weather inclement or solar beams.
9 It’s necessary to install charges long the delivery pipe and
near the pumping head to be able to evacuate the liquid and to
easier take apart the pump from the system.
Beyond the normal secure precaution that the end-user will have to adopt, we suggest to the
end-user or installator to install the pump on a pavement realized with one good floor tile and
with adapted slopes to the aim of take care of the structures and the machinery, to easier
evacuate eventually spillages of liquids and to execute one good maintenance.

9 PUMP’S LOCATION
¾ The pump must be located in a vertical position over a strong plate stable and well levelled after
that fix in a secure way the pump to avoid tension on his axis.
¾ It’s better to located the pump flow ded with suction hose reduces at the minimum adopting
large curves to favourite the primer of the fluid to pump
¾ Manually check the free rotation of the pump, acting on the motor impeller. If the impeller is
blocked, check the placing of the pump and the alignment of the hoses.

10 PUMP’S CONNECTION TO SYSTEM’S HOSE

10.1 SUCTION HOSE CONNECTION

Following you can find some suggestion to follow with care:

9 The developments of the suction hose must be reduce at the minimum realizing on every corner
of the hose a curve with wide beam.
9 Before connecting the hose to the pump attacks it’s necessary to execute a hose washing to
eliminate whichever stranger body (welding drops, gasket fragments, etc.).
9 To avoid back slopes to favourite the evacuation of eventually air bubbles and be sure that it will
be a perfect coupled above all in a suction part to favourite it.
9 The hose must be proportional (above all in the suction part) to a diameter immediately over the
pump’s valves.
9 The max fluid speed on the hose must have to not be over 0’7 m/s this is for liquid with a
viscosity range until 100 mPa (cPs).

10.2 DELIVERY HOSE CONNECTION

A correct realisation of the delivery hose path is essential for a proper functioning of the pump,
therefore the following important details must be considered:

¾ The hose path must be as linear as possible and must be independently supported. The hose
connections must be installed in a way to avoid eventually expansions ‘caused from heat
sources, not exercising their action on the pump head.
¾ It's necessary to avoid back slopes to favourite the evacuation of eventually air bubbles and be
sure that the hoses are perfectly sealed.
¾ We suggest to always preview after the connection of the pump one or more T connector that
can be used to install manometer, safety valves and pulsation damper.

The pump has not other point that need to be
lubricate therefore the quantity of oil indicated on the
table is enough to guarantee a good lubrication of the Max
mechanical parts. level
The index of the spy located on the pump’s flank,
declares the right dose.
For technical reasons on suggest the substitution of
the lubricant after the first 500 hours of functioning
and following after 3000 working hours or at least one
time per year.
