Air Cargo Handling Conference 2011

Respect the past, consider the present, but influence the future

Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel

& Conference Centre
19-21 September 2011

Following on from the hugely successful 2010 event, the theme for the 2011 Air Cargo Handling Conference concentrates
on implementing the lessons learned from recession and being able to influence the future.

Over 160 industry professionals attended the 2010 Air Cargo Handling Conference and over 90% rated the event as
“excellent” in terms of both content and networking. If you are a Freight forwarder, Airline, Cargo handling agent or
a supplier, why not be part of this? Have a voice - take part in the dialogue on how to move the cargo logistics chain
forward and create better working practices with your partners. Mix with industry professionals from around the
globe to exchange views, make contacts and do business!

Through expert presentations from respected industry figures, we will explore these areas:

• The new landscape for air cargo handling as part of a more sophisticated logistics chain in which freight forwarders play
a central role.
• We will discover what freight forwarders really want to see from an airline and a cargo handling agent partnership.
• The key question of whether a freight forwarder can be the orchestrator of easy to use handling procedures, or whether
this function is firmly entrenched in the handling community, will be addressed.
• Are hubs a key element of future business capability and we will ask the airlines what they want to see from the new
landscape for delivering cargo handling solutions.
• How are freight flows developing and what this means for the establishment of infrastructure and manpower on the ground.
• The security conundrum, we ask: what is the case for making security imperatives simpler to understand and therefore
making compliance easier?
• Air cargo handlers will have the opportunity to speak out in terms of delivering value added services and
optimising revenue opportunities.
• The many sides of the KPI catalogue will be addressed along with revenue management objectives and the prospects for
a long term cargo handling contract.
• What are the prospects for building new relationships and closing the gap between forwarder, airline and handler.

This conference is all about passing on the baton of success which means truly understanding each party’s perspective and
working to improve the cargo logistics chain.
