ECTS
 Which courses am I allowed to choose?
− 20 ECTS need to be out of business administration,
economics or foreign languages
− 10 ECTS are arbitrary
− You cannot take courses that are corresponding to regular
courses of the 6th or 7th semester (exception: Double
Degree). The course description should be short (only a
paragraph, not a whole DIN A4 page) and in English!
 What can I do if I cannot get 30 ECTS abroad (e.g. if I don‘t pass
all courses)?
The missing ECTS can be covered by electives or FWPs upon
your return to Deggendorf during the 6th or 7th semester.

Translation of Foreign Grades

 How do I convert the credits of the university abroad into
ECTS?
− Find out the average workload at your university abroad
(how many courses students usually take, homework,
project work, assignments, tests).
− Example: Regular students at the university abroad on
average have 4 courses and receive 3 credits for each of
the course, hence 12 credits during the whole semester.
You divide the 30 ECTS by the number of courses a regular
student has at the university abroad.
