ACTIVITY 1: “DEFINING WELL-BEING AND THE PROFILE OF ARTIST”

 Why is there a need to study of Physical and Personal Development for the artist?
Because to learning through art activities. It really helps them build self-esteem. It’s an opportunity
for artist to make a personal statement about their uniqueness through art while allowing them to express
happiness, joy, and pride. It can make their life better. Active, and more productive. To develop by
stimulating their senses and sensibilities and by awakening the creative and expressive aspects of the artist.
Motivates the artist to improve and maintain their health and prevent disease and reduce risky behaviours
and also important for self-esteem or self-image.

A. RYAN CAYABYAB – Born on 4, 1954. Also known as Mr. C, he is our Filipino musician, composer
and conductor. He was the Executive and Artistic Director of the defunct San Miguel Foundation for the
Performing Arts. His works range from commissioned full length ballets, and others.

B. FERNANDO ARMOSOOLO – Born on May 30, 1892. He was one of the most important artists in the
history of painting in the Philippines. He was a portrait, painter and rural landscape painter in the
Philippines. He is widely known for his skills and proficiency in the use of light.

C. ALICE REYES – Born on October 14, 1942. A Filipino dancer, choreographer, teacher, director, and
producer. The founder of Ballet Philippines, received the highest art award from the Philippines,
received the highest art award from the Philippines Artist, President Aquino.

1. Because the body is a wonderfully designed structure. It is one expression of Art of Life, with its lines,
curves, shapes, colours, and dimensions. The body is the vehicle that we move through life with it. It is a
precious gift, our sacred temple, our best friend, and our oldest companion. It is wiser than our mind, the
wisdom of the body has access to things our mind does not.

2. To prevent injury, you must first be careful and avoid things that can cause injury. Eat properly. Doing
exercise everyday. Need proper sleep in time. Reduce your commitments. Surround yourself with scents.
Drink green tea.
