600 Amp
LOADBREAK REDUCING
MODEL 9U60 SERIES TAP PLUG (LRTP)
DESCRIPTION
Hubbell Loadbreak Reducing Tap Plugs are used for "Tapoffs"
and grounding of 600 amp URD systems. The LRTPs mate
with all 600 amp deadbreak interfaces on one end and
200 amp loadbreak interfaces on the other. All
interfaces meet the requirements of ANSI,
IEEE Std. 386-1995 or latest revision,
as follows:

600Amp, 8.3 and 15.2kV

200Amp, 8.3/14.4 and 15.2/26.3kV

CONTENTS OF PACKAGE ! CAUTION

The equipment covered by these instructions should be installed,
1- Load Reducing Tap Plug operated and serviced only by competent personnel familiar with
1- Lubricant good safety practices. This instruction is written for such personnel
1- Instruction Sheet and is not intended as a substitute for adequate training and
experience in safe procedures for this type of equipment.

! CAUTION
System must be de-energized and fully grounded before installation can begin.

INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT:Read these instructions thoroughly before operating the system. Be sure that the
connectors are rated for the intended energized use. (See Hubbell Catalog or Technical Data Sheets for
selecting the correct mating connector module.) Visually inspect parts for damage before using them.

STEP 1. First, install the related 600 amp deadbreak connector.
