4. Procedures
4.1 Introductory Activity
2 minutes Let the students to recapitulate about the previous topic in Arts

4.2 Activity

Teacher provide pictures of production staff ( director, producer, choreographer,make-up


designer, etc.) in a theater. Let students to identify the role of each production staff in a musical

play.

4.3 Analysis Let students to describe how each member of a stage production contributes to the performance

4.4 Abstraction
Roles in a Stage production
Producer- the person who takes the play from a mere concept to an actual finished presentation
Director- is the overall artistic coordinator of the entire production
Playwright- For a script intended for
stage performance, the writer of the script is more specifically called a playwright
Set designer- The
concept and creation of the physical stage set- up is the task of the set designer
Lighting designer- is critical in
creating the mood of each scene in the play Costume
designer- The actors and actresses must look believable in their roles, and much of this is owed
to the costume designer

Sound designer- serves as a vital role in creating and enhancing the atmosphere of the
performance as well as the lighting design
Production manager- coordinating all the complex behind-the-scenes details of staging a play
Technical director-
shadows the play's director throughout the entire production process
Choreographer- In cases where a play
invooves dance in certain scenes, a choreographer is included in the production team
Makeup designer- deliberates
on the characters' main attire, the makeup designer is brought in to plan the hairstyles and
makeup to complement the costumes
