Prague College
Prague College offers a truly practical
education. Its mission is to provide
students with a strong academic
foundation and the skills and
experience necessary to open up career
opportunities. Prague College provides
a British higher educational experience
by working in cooperation with Edexcel
and Teesside University, winner of the
2009/10 University of the Year.

The British system of education is internationally

recognised for its commitment to quality and its
balance between theory and practical application.
All courses are subject to the quality assurance
requirements of both Edexcel and Teesside
University which ensures quality and professional
delivery of classes and a professional approach to
all aspects of education.
Our BA, BSc and MSc programmes in
Computing, Fine Art Experimental Media,
Graphic Design and International Management
prepare students for their professional lives by
giving them a sound academic foundation and
commercial know-how of how their skills can be
applied. Students are brought into direct contact
with professionals and experts who share their
knowledge and experience, and in addition help
students identify and pursue possible future
careers.
Our Higher National Diploma (HND)
programmes are two year practical programmes
run in association with Edexel which give students
a broad understanding and competence in the
areas of Business, Computing, Graphic Design
and Interactive Media. The HND is a stand alone
qualification recognised by employers as a sign of
quality. It also leads to the final year of a Bachelors
programme which can be taken at Prague College
or institutions around the world.
The Professional Diploma qualification
programme offered by the college is designed for
working professionals, those returning to work,
those who wish to further develop their skills
and refresh the skills they have not utilized for
some time. Professional Diplomas are individually
tailored to the needs and wishes of the student to
maximise effectiveness and to fit the schedule of
the individual.
As a British higher educational establishment,
all teaching is delivered in English. Those who
need to study English to meet the requirements
of the programme can apply to the Access Year,
which is a one year intensive programme designed
to deliver the necessary depth of English a student
needs to succeed in a university programme.

A highly practical education
Students work on live projects with real
companies from year one. With a portfolio of
accomplished projects, our graduates really show
what they can do.

Quality teaching
With one of the lowest student-instructor
ratios in Prague, an average of 15-20 students
in business classes and generally 12 students in
computing and design, they get the time to talk
with and learn from their professors. Our faculty
members have plenty to say and offer, having a
British accredited and monitored
good balance of high academic qualifications and
real world, real life experience. Our approval to run higher education
programmes is from Edexcel, a British educational

Life in Prague
The experience of living and studying in Prague is an amazing
and unforgettable time for students. Prague itself provides
many of the reasons why so many students come from all over
the world to study here.

Transport
Prague features an extensive and well-organised
public transport system that can quickly get you
anywhere in the city. The trams are the most
popular form of transport and run day and
night, non-stop. But with the same ticket or pass,
you can also ride buses and the three lines of
the metro system, where it is very easy to get
orientated. There is also a modern airport and
several train stations that you can use to explore
the rest of Europe.
Cost of Living
Living in Prague is affordable. You will find that
the prices of food and transport are considerably
lower than in most other European capital cities. Our students enjoy a rich social life, mingling

Academic, professional and personal support can
help you succeed.

Prague College has a dedicated staff of study advisers to make

study conditions for students as stress free as possible. Be it
questions about academics, advice on what to do and see in the
Czech Republic, the study advisers are there to listen and assist.
Every semester there is an opportunity to consult formally with
your personal adviser to discuss academic progress and receive
guidance on future academic paths to follow; or a student can
simply drop by the students services office for an informal chat.
The student services office can provide a whole range of
information for students, whether it be academic support, or
simply the telephone number of a dentist who speaks English,
Russian or any other language.

I successfully finished my bachelor studies at Prague College

and celebrated the fourth year of existence of Inspiro Solutions,
a Prague-based internet-marketing web design company I
founded. My plans for the future include working hard to
develop Inspiro Solutions to become one of the leading creative
web design companies in the Czech Republic and getting my
Masters degree in International Management also at Prague
College.

I am an independent contractor working in the field of

marketing and event management. Currently I am working with
both the Lions Club Prague Eagle and a security consultancy
firm. I finished my BA (Hons) International Management and I
have chosen to continue directly to the Prague College Masters
programme. Thankfully, Prague College is very flexible and aware

I run SYPE studio which was set up by me and my friend Jakub

from Prague College. We have been mainly working on our own
projects at the beginning but it was more than clear that we
want to build a professional studio with a modern approach that

Sound production has always been my hobby and Jakub is a
composer and a sound engineer. So it was a perfect match!
What I liked about Prague College is that in the HND Interactive
Media program I had the opportunity to get the insight into
sound production, web design and so on; I gained a broad insight
into these fields. I like also the fact that you need to think actively
and reflect new current trends into your work because there
have been huge ongoing developments in the interactive media

Czech students are eligible for Gaudeamus
student loans from Komercni Banka. Students
from Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Ireland
and Canada have received funding from their
home countries to study at Prague College.
All students from outside of the European Union
are welcome to apply for a Prague College
bursary.
Bursaries are a financial award which helps
to partially offset the difference between
international and EU tuition rates.
