HOW TO OPERATE

4
The X-ray Machine is made for operation on input-power and V
designed for easy operation by means of just setting Time and mA/kVp
according to the radiography conditions : However, the following technical
procedure and characters should be well considered in advance for better
radiography.

1. Preparations Set up the machine with supporter

(Mobile stand)
Connect the Collimator cord, the input Power
Supply cord and the Remote control Hand Switch cord to each
receiptable located on the side panel of machine.
(If the main unit & the light beam Collimator is separately
delivered to you attach the Collimator to the unit)
Properly set X-ray film, positioning of machine to the canter
of radiography part and of film cassette, and take a proper
distance between film and tube.
Final centering can be done by light beam from Collimator.
Collimator switch is located on the top of Collimator.

2. Procedure
2.1 Line Voltage Control – Adjustment :
After connected the input Power Supply cord to the Power supply
outlet, Turn Line Voltage Control Knob.
Clockwise from 1 position, when the indicating – needle of Line Voltage
Meter feels.
Set Line Voltage Control knob until the indicating needle comes up to
the red-mark line on the line Voltage Meter.: which corresponds to
correct power supply voltage.

However, be careful of the indicating – needle so as to not exceed the

red-marked line on the Line Voltage Meter

☞ Caution : If the line voltage is controlled in excess of the red-

marked line on the Line Voltage Meter and the machine is operated at
higher voltage, if may cause a shorter life of X-ray tube and other
trouble
2.2 mA/kVp Selection : Select the most proper mA/kVp by mean of turning
the mA/kVp Selector knob available at the ranges of :
(100kVp-10mA), (90kVp-15mA), (80kVp-20mA), (70kVp-25mA),
(60kVp-30mA)
for each radiography part of patient and its conditions.
This selection should be done in consideration of exposure time.

5
2.3 Electronic Time – Exposure time selection : Select the most proper
exposure time by means of turning the Electronic Timer knob.
: Available at 23 steps in the range of 0.03 to 5.0 seconds but not
exceeding the safety exposure time as given below:

10mA at 100kVp within 0.03 sec to 5 sec

15mA at 90kVp within 0.03 sec to 5 sec
20mA at 80kVp within 0.03 sec to 5 sec
25mA at 70kVp within 0.03 sec to 5 sec
30mA at 60kVp within 0.03 sec to 5 sec

2.4 X-ray Exposure – Radiation

After confirming the preparations made and mA/kVp & Time selections
made.
Push the “READY” button of Remote Control hand switch, when the x-
ray ready pilot Lamp is lighted in Green Color.
And then push the “X-RAY” Exposure button of the hand switch.
At this time, x-ray is exposure, when the Exposure Pilot Lamp is
lighted in orange color and you get as sound from buzzer as well.
X-ray exposure can be observed also at the mA meter whereat real mA
exposed is indicated.

☞ Caution : it is needed to continued pushing “X-RAY”

exposure button a little longer than the selected exposure time.

2.5 Finish of X-Ray operation :

You should be keep main power switch off after x-ray exposure was
finished.

☞ Caution : overload – overheat

When machine is operated under continuous use for a long time, this
Overload Alarm Lamp may be lighted in red color.
In this case, discontinue your machine operation immediately, and wait
until inside generation unit cools off.
This cooling off time will be around 30 to 60 minutes. For a longer life
of x-ray tube, you had better use your machine intermittently every
minute.

3. Measure and custody method after use.

1) Turn off main power switch and pull off main power cord and hand
switch code. (please don’t add excessive force when pulling code.)

6
Keep accessories, codes clean, and arrange and then take custody.
2) Clean x-ray machine, main power code and hand switch in order not
to have any trouble to the following use, and put them to the
designated custody box, and fix them in order they may not move
inside
3) Take custody at place where it has good ventilation and dry place
with no vibration, and be careful in order excessive force might not be
added.
4) When defect is found, don’t touch optionally, but mark discrimination,
and then request purchasing distributor or manufacturer.
5) Don’t take custody at place where chemicals are stored or gas
occurs.
6) Don’t remodel machine & tools absolutely.

4. Cautions during Use.

4.1 Pay attention to the followings when installing machine & tools.
1) Install at place where water is not touched.
2) Install at place where it receives no bad-effect by air etc. including
temperature, humidity, ventilation, sunshine, dusts, salt etc.
3) Pay attention to safety condition such as slant, vibration, shock
(including the times of transportation)
4) Don’t install at the place where chemicals are stored or gas occurs.
5) Pay attention to power source, frequency, voltage and allowed
electric current value (or consumption electric power)

4.2 Pay attention to the followings prior to use of machine & tools
1) Check connection condition of switch, indication lamp of control
panel, reservation establishment value etc, and confirm, whether
machine and tools operate exactly and safely.
2) Confirm whether connection of all code is exact and safe or not.
3) When using machine & tools not used for a long time, inevitably
confirm machine & tools are normal and have complete operation.

4.3 Pay attention to the following during use of machine & tools
1) Be careful in order not to exceed time, amount required to diagnosis
and treatment.
2) n case buzzer does not sound or lamp does not operate normally,
measure should be taken only after inquiring to manufacturing
company or distributor, and in case any defect is found to machine &
tools and patient, stop the use of machine immediately and let patient
move to the safe place.
3) When over heat lamp turns on during use, then occurrence of x-ray
stops, and when lamp turns on and off after passage of about 30

7
minutes, then use machine & tools again.
