 The problem – to select the best offer from 5 offers

 Solution – to use the Global Utility Model
1. Make a table with the main hardware characteristics from the 5 offers, including
the price
2. Decide the type of each characteristic from the table:
 minimum characteristic: the goal is to have the least value for the characteristic
e.g. the price,
 maximum characteristic: the goal is to have the greatest value,
e.g. microprocessor frequency

3. Normalise the values from the table;

4.For each department of your company, give a grade for each characteristic, from 1 to 10, depending on the importance of each
feature
5.For each department and for each offer multiply the normalized value with the grade of the characteristic.
6.Sum all values for each offer
7.The best offer for each department is the offer with the greatest score.
