Encounter 1
I. Introduction
Distribution of Glossary of Terms in ICT.
Take a quick look at the page containing the Glossary of Terms to get a glimpse of what ICT
and related concepts are.
II. Motivation
Ask the following questions to the students:
 What do these mean to you?
 So do you think you are ready for the Networked World?
 Or better yet, is your community ready for the Networked World?
III. Instruction/Delivery
Introduce ICT.
Discuss on Some Terms in the Glossary.
IV. Practice
Search anything about Information and Communications Technology (ICT) or digital tools that
interest you.
V. Enrichment
Find out the latest about them or something similar to them that you have used so far. Be ready
to share them in class using traditional learning tools, e.g. pen and paper, or via ICT tools, e.g.
online.

Encounter 2
I. Introduction
Recap ICT.
Tell them that a survey called “Networked World Readiness” contains 5 categories,
namely: Access, Learning, Society, Economy, and Policy.
Ask them this question: Which category is most important to you?
II. Motivation
Show to the students some media icon and ask them: How many of the items or icons in
the image above are you familiar with? Which ones are you unfamiliar with?
III. Instruction/Delivery
Discuss the Icons and Relate them to the Glossary of Terms.
IV. Practice
Explore the content of the Networked World Readiness6 assessment via this link:
http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/readinessguide/intro.html or whenever available, or provide
also a printed version.
V. Enrichment & Evaluation
Compare and contrast the implications of varied online platforms, sites and content; to best
achieve specific needs, objectives; or to best address the challenges in the classroom or that
of your community. On a piece of paper or in whatever suitable digital tool is available,
write down your insight in 300 words.

I. Introduction
Tell the students that at the end of the lesson, you will be able to understand better the 24/7,
social nature of digital media. In particular, you will be able to:
● Explore your digital life; and
● Learn that it is important to act responsibly when carrying out relationships over digital
media.
II. Motivation
Ask them this question: How is your digital media life like?
III. Instruction/Delivery
Discuss about Online Safety.
IV. Practice
Let them draw their answer in the motivation.
V. Enrichment
Let them explain how it is related to online safety.
VI. Evaluation
Short quiz.

I. Introduction
