Key Responsibilities.

To inspect, with the Director of Engineering, at least twice monthly, the entire building with particular attention on defective or
deficient life safety features and to observe closely the condition of all operating equipment. Specific attention must be placed on
areas of difficult access.
To perform, at least twice weekly, routine inspection of all engineering operational areas (plant rooms) and report any equipment
malfunction to the Director of Engineering.
To ensure all safety regulations are being strictly observed.
To monitor implementation of all energy conservation procedures and report any irregularities and non-compliance to the
Director of Engineering.
To prepare monthly utility consumption reports and keep constant survey of correct calibration of all utility recording
instruments.
To check timely completion of maintenance requests paying particular attention to guest related jobs.
To implement and supervise the Guestroom-servicing program in accordance with company standards.
To supervise maintenance of gardens and grounds, including road surfaces.
To ensure a perfect functional condition of all alarm systems and fire prevention as well as fire-fighting equipment.
To implement the established system for the control, verification, storage and utilization of all fuel deliveries to the premises.
In absence of the Director of Engineering, represent the Engineering Division on the hotel's Executive Committee.
To handle guest and employee inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to
supervisors if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests.
