Read the LDM Course Overview. Reflect on the overview by answering the following

1. What is the main delivery of this course?

Insight:

The main delivery of this course is to prepare teachers in this new normal setting
amid this Covid 19 Pandemic. This is why the Deped initiated to utilize and implement
carefully the continuity plan in different schools to help teachers in determining to what
learning modalities will be going to use (e.i. distance learning – online & modular,
blended learning, face to face and etc.) that will provide a meaning teaching learning
process to the learners despite of the situation we are facing today.
On the first day of our orientation, our school Principal higlightened some
important details about this course which catch my attention to listened to. She
emphasized that this course is a task-oriented which needs an expected output that will
encapsulate all the combined learning experiences we have through guiding ourselves in a
depth-through self-studying, reflecting and collaborating with each other by means of
LAC or the Learning Action Cell which divided us with two teams. Thus, this course will
be a great of help for us to learn, reflect and adapt the new normal setting in order to
address the needs of our learners which our Deped goal promotes the Sama-sama sa Pag-
Sulong ng Edukalidad Advocacy.

2. How can this course help ensure that you will be able to deliver quality instruction

2. How can this course help ensure that you will be able to deliver quality instruction
in the “new normal”?

Insight:

The LDM 2 course will prepare teachers with KSAVs (Knowledge, Skills and
Values) that would be necessary for the new school year in ensuring the delivery of
quality education and instruction in the “new normal”. With this course, the teachers will
be able to cope up and adapt the teaching and learning process through knowing the
different alternative delivery modes that were included to effectively reach and teach our
learners despite our situation we are facing today.

3. What are the two support mechanisms that will help you with your learning in this
course?

Insight:

The two support mechanisms that will help me with my learning in this course are
the following:
a. The key to understanding this course, for at the end of this, I will be able to
know the different learning delivery modalities and platforms which will be
useful in reaching our learners to learn. It will also enable me to plan for the
implementation of the school adopted LDMs, prepare learning materials and
resources needed for the LDM and be confident enough in executing lessons
in the new LDM.
b. The key to listening and collaborating with my co-teachers for the various
points in the modules. At this point, we will need to convene for LAC Session
to discuss a particular lesson and/or to collaborate on specific tasks and share
our learning insights with each other in our group assigned.

1. How will my personal characteristics and circumstances affect (positively or


negatively) my participation in this course?

Insight:

I think it will be a great help especially in doing our task in LDM2 and my
eagerness to learn with new things that can contribute to make this work successfully. At
the same time, it will boost my confidence to share my learning with my co-teachers and
enhances my ability or capacity to learn, relearn and unlearn new things in knowing
differently the learning delivery modalities and effectively utilize it in a proper way of
conducting it.

2. How can I ensure that I am able to sustain my strengths and address the
obstacles that will hinder me from completing this course?

Insight:

In order to complete this course, I will help myself to overcome the


hindrances I may face in this course. I will try to manage my time to do the task
given to us and motivate myself to participate in our LAC Session and a
willingness to learn new things that will lead to complete this course. In addition
to that, I must be open-minded with the following activities that will be share
collaboratively. With these, I can ensure that I can sustain and can turn my
weaknesses into a positive one.

ACTIVITY 1

1. Begin by refreshing your memory on the Learning Action Cell. Read DepEd Order
No. 35 s. 2016 titled “The Learning Action Cell as the K to 12 Basic Education
Program School-Based Continuing Professional Development Strategy for the
Improvement of Teaching and Learning.”

Once you’re done, answer the following questions. Write your responses and any
other ideas and reflections in your Study Notebook. 1. Reflect on the objectives for
conducting LAC sessions as listed in DO 35, s. 2016. Rank the following objectives
