99% of you do the right thing at Stretford High. Thankyou for continuing to do so.
However, almost a third of the way in to the school year, some of us need a little
reminder about what is acceptable and what is not in our community…

Mobile phone reminder.

You can only use mobile phones in a lesson if a member of staff instructs you to as part of
the lesson. This does not mean you pester them and keep asking to listen to music or to
send messages. Do not be the person who sits in class with earphones and mobile wired in
to your ears – this is also unacceptable unless your teacher has directed you to do so.

Blazer reminder.
Its cold, so of course you need to come to school in your coat. But wear your blazer
underneath. On corridors, the dining room and in classrooms you are expected to be in your
blazer at all times – no taking it off because “its break, or its dinner”. In class, your teacher
may instruct you to remove your blazer. Otherwise, keep it on. Look smart, think smart!

Footwear reminder.
Trainers are not part of our uniform. Addidas, Nike, Reebok, Converse have never made
shoes and never will. Knee high boots are also not part of our uniform. Please wear plain
black shoes, look part of our team and look after your feet! Don’t be the one that lets us
down.

Manners reminder.
Be Nice, don’t disrupt the learning of others, be respectful to our outstanding staff and
your community.
The last words…
