The pattern is written in U.S. crochet terms, complete with clear instructions and pictures to help you
along the way. Willy The Whale is crocheted in continuous spirals without joining the rounds. We suggest
using a stitch marker or different color yarn to keep track of each round. Willy The Whale is crocheted in
worsted weight yarn is approximately 2.5 inches tall and 6.5 inches long. Be aware that size may vary
depending on the yarn and hook size used. Gauge is not particularly important, just be consistent with
the tension you are using. And most importantly, have fun!

leaving 12 sts between the eyes. Make sure to
have the color change directly in the back.
Place a pin, if it’s helpful, to mark the middle of
the face.

Rd 2: inc x1, sc x1, inc x1 {5 sts}
Rd 3: sc x1, inc x1, sc x1, inc x1, sc x1 {7 sts}
Rd 4: sc in the next 7 sts {7 sts}
Rd 5: sc x1, dec x1, sc x1, dec x1, sc x1 {5 sts}
Fasten off and leave a long tail. No stuffing
needed. Sew the ends shut and set aside until
assembly.
Water Spout

Rd 1: Adjustable Ring/Magic Circle with a base of 6 sts {6 sts}
Rd 2-5: sc in the next 6 sts {6 sts}
Rd 6: (chain 3, tr x1, chain 1, sc x1) 3 times {18 sts}
Fasten off and leave a tail. Weave in all ends and set aside until assembly.
