- Remove the center console. Refer to "Removal and installation, Center
console" section of "Body, Interior".

lower main panel assembly.
3. Pry off the lower main panel assembly

and disconnect the connection to remove
the lower main panel assembly.

4. Unscrew the two mounting bolts (T45) for

the driver air bag module assembly.
5. Lift up the driver air bag module and

remove the inflator connector by using a
small flat-blade screwdriver as follows:
Use a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in

protective tape.
Refer to the "Driver air bag module" section

of "Body, Air bag".
6. Remove the driver air bag module

assembly.
7. Disconnect the connector (A) for the audio

remote controller switch and cruise control
switch.

8. Remove the steering wheel assembly

mounting nut (22 mm) to remove the
steering wheel assembly.
Put align marks on the column shaft and

the steering wheel mounting nuts before
removing the steering wheel.
9. Unscrew the 3 shroud lower panel

assembly mounting screws.
10.Separate the shroud upper panel from the

lower panel with a remover and remove the
shroud lower panel assembly.
Use a tool, such as a pair of hand remover

pliers, when removing the shroud upper
and lower panel assemblies. Using other
tools may cause damage to the cover.
11.Unscrew the two mounting screws of the

cluster fascia panel assembly to remove
the shroud upper panel assembly.

12.Disconnect the 4 connectors for the contact

coil from the steering column shaft and
remove the contact coil from the column
shaft.

Use a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in

protective tape.
13.Remove the light switch (A) and wiper

switch (B) from the steering column in the
direction of the arrow by pressing the
release button through the hole (A).

14.Disconnect the connectors (key switch connector (A), immobilizer antenna connector (B), key
remind switch connector (C)) which are connected to the key switch.

15.Unscrew the lower mounting bolt (A, 12

mm) on the lower shaft, two upper
mounting bolts (B, 12 mm) and two lower
mounting bolts (C, 12 mm) on the column
shaft to remove the column shaft and the

16.Remove the A-pillar trim assemblies on

both sides by using the same method.
17.Remove the door scuff front trim

assemblies on both sides by using the
same method.
18.Unscrew the mounting screw (A) for the

cowl side trim assembly to remove the cowl
side trim assembly. Repeat this step for the
opposite side.
19.Remove the passenger side fascia panel

assembly.

20.Open the glove box and unscrew the two

mounting screws to remove the passenger
