Job Titles

Job Description:

Event Director- An event director is responsible for organizing, mobilizing and/or coordinating the staff, event
participants, officials, and administrators for the successful execution of an event.

Venue Coordinator- A venue coordinator will also manage the catering timeline, if catering is handled by their venue.

Set-Up Coordinator- Provides oversight and participates in the preparation of meeting rooms, banquet rooms, outdoor
venues, performance halls and other areas. Responsible for set-up, tear-down, removal of equipment, cleaning and
maintenance of equipment.

Risk- Management Coordinator- Work involves responsibility for processing property loss claims and maintaining
accounting and budgetary records. May supervise and participate in the work of a unit engaged in collecting and
recording financial data.

Sign Maker- sign maker reviews a client's sign request, makes design recommendations, and provides a price based
on materials, sign size, and estimated time and labor. In their work, sign makers may use computer software or sign-
making equipment to create backgrounds, lettering and artwork within the borders of the design.

Environmental Control Officer- is basically to look out for conditions/ situations in construction sites which cause
environmental health problems or are likely to cause environmental health problems.

Equipment Coordinator- An Equipment Coordinator is responsible for the efficient and effective assignment of requests
and customer communications. He/ she ensures that all related administrative paperwork and duties are handled in a
professional and timely manner.

Maintenance- Maintenance workers, also known as repair workers, fix and maintain mechanical equipment, buildings,
and machines. Tasks include plumbing work, painting, flooring repair and upkeep, electrical repairs and heating and
air conditioning system maintenance.

Sound Technician- As a sound technician, it's your responsibility to assemble, operate and maintain the technical
equipment used to record, amplify, enhance, mix or reproduce sound. You'll identify the sound requirements for a given
task or situation and perform the appropriate actions to produce this sound.

Transport- They are responsible for managing the execution, direction, and coordination of all transportation matters
within the organization. This includes managing budgets, organizing schedules & routes, ensuring that vehicles are
safe and meet legal requirements, and making sure that drivers are aware of their duties.

Food Service Coordinator- A Food Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating food preparation for a major
section of a large operation such as the bakery, Taco Time or pantry/catering section; plans, prepares and coordinates
the preparation of main entrees or plans and prepares all meals and snacks at a separate facility; may lead the work
of Food Service Specialists and student assistants in preparing food; does related work as required.

Catering- A caterer provides, transports, and prepares food for clients, particularly for special events such as
conferences, weddings, celebrations, or large gatherings. Responsibilities may include not only providing and preparing
food but also serving it and cleaning up afterwards.

Service Coordinator- A service coordinator recruits and trains customer service employees, manages the employee
schedule, oversees daily employee interactions with customers, handles any complaints or questions, and reports to
the store or company manager as necessary. Recruits and trains customer service or human resources employees.

Program Coordinator- A Program Coordinator manages a program's employees and handles administrative tasks such
as managing and maintaining the program's budget, determining and implementing policies and procedures, managing
program-related internal and external communications and organizing and maintaining the program agenda.

Data Entry Clerk- Maintains database by entering new and updated customer and account information. Prepares
source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information. Establishes entry priorities. Processes customer
and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies.

Master of Ceremonies- acts as the host at an occasion. His duties depend on the type of event he is hosting. Because
the role is so visible, the MC's demeanor directly affects the mood of the guests, their receptivity, and their enjoyment.

Publishing- Publications coordinators create and distribute publications for colleges, universities, businesses and other
organizations. They fulfill a variety of duties, playing the roles of both marketing specialists and layout designers.

Data Tabulation- Program data tables using questionnaires and tab plans. Participate in project conference calls
offering input into table design and challenges. ... Work effectively with the Project Directors, other programmers,
vendors, and clients to achieve project goals.

Computer Scorer - is responsible for scoring the tests as they come in from the Judges. They should be checked off in
the scorer’s office (which is done by the head scorer) then scored and entered in the computer by either the head scorer
or the show secretary. Scores must be posted after they are entered in the show computer but cannot be given to
competitors until the class is complete.
