 Recognize and differentiate between all the pronouns.
 Use these pronouns via providing their own sentences in the exploitation stage.
 Material(s): Textbook and BB.

Time Procedures Techniques


5 Warm-up
minutes -T greets SS Greeting
-T: Welcome to my class.
-T asks one of the SS to write the date on the BB.
-T writes the following on the BB. Quote
“I have a car, but my father’s car is better than mine” Ahmed said.
15 Presentation:
minutes - Based on the saying, T sets the scene and creates a need for SS.
- T: What is the subject pronoun in that sentence?? Setting the scene
-S1: I.
-T: Okay. Refers to whom?
-S2: Ahmed.
-T: What do “my” and “mine” refer to?
-SS: Ahmed also. Use of Context
-T: Good, So we said that “I” is a subject pronoun. What about “my” and “mine”?
-SS provide their potential answers.
-T: “my” is a possessive adjective. And “mine” is a possessive pronoun.
-T writes the title of the lesson on the BB. Possessive Adjectives
-T draws the following table on the BB.

-T asks SS to have a look at the dialogue on page 36 and try to extract all the pronouns.
-T elicits answers from SS and fills in the chart.
Checking comprehension
T closes the BB and checks SS’ learning.

-T: their/Amine & Anas/ at home/ book/ forgot. Restoration drills
-SS: Amine & Anas forgot their book at home.
-T asks SS to do the exercise 2 on page 36.
-T corrects with SS.
12 Exploitation:
minutes -T asks SS to work in pairs on the activity 3 on the same page.
-T does not intervene unless SS need help in word finding difficulty. Problem solving
-T asks SS to copy the lesson.
