1. What is your understanding of the Islam?

- In My Research Islam are called Muslims. Muslims are monotheistic and worship one, all-knowing God,
who in Arabic is known as Allah. Followers of Islam aim to live a life of complete submission to
Allah. Islam encourages and supports the development and creativity if you read the holy Quran you will
see a lot of verses that we must think to understand the world around us. The miracle of the Quran was
in the science that it introduces. Every day we saw and understand the miracles in the Quran. Islam
emphasizes mainly on achieving pursuit of excellence.
2. What is the difference between Islam and Christianity?
-In my opinion Christians are the biggest week of the year because we are celebrating Passion
week: the week where Jesus was betrayed, arrested, crucified, and rose again from the dead.
Millions of people around the world will celebrate Easter, millions will not . First they have A
Different View of Holy Books because Christians view the Old and New Testament as the Holy Word God
while Islam or muslim view the Quran as the Holy Word of God. The second one is A Different View of
God Christians believe in the Trinity: 1 God in 3 persons: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy
Spirit The God of Islam is one God, in 1 Person, not a Trinity. Here are some passages from the Quran
that explain how the God of Islam is not a Father.

1. Why is Islam called the “religion of peace?”

- Based on my research Islam is peace. These terrorists don't represent peace. They represent evil and
war." Some have pointed out that the word "Islam" is etymologically related to the Arabic word salām
meaning "peace". The word ‘Islam’ literally means ‘Peace and surrender to the will of Allah the Creator’.
Islam has a history of violence. Muslims can be violent. Denying this is not at all different to
denying that Islam is peaceful and that all Muslims are pacifists. The dichotomy is simply
false.
2. Do you think a better understanding of Islam can lessen the discrimination
experienced by Muslims in society? Why or why not?
- For me I think it’s an NO because Muslims in the United States perceive a lot of discrimination against
their religious group, are leery of Trump and think their fellow Americans do not see Islam as part of
mainstream U.S. society. Like in the US theres no lessen discrimination happened in that society even in
other country like europe. However the Muslim Americans express a persistent streak of optimism and
positive feelings. Overwhelmingly, they say they are proud to be Americans, believe that hard work
generally brings success in this country and are satisfied with the way things are going in their own lives
– even if they are not satisfied with the direction of the country as a whole. In addition, half of Muslim
Americans say it has become harder to be Muslim in the U.S. in recent years. And 48% say they have
experienced at least one incident of discrimination in the past 12 months so I think it didn’t lessen the
Discrimination because of the different perspective of people’s mind.

How are judaism christianity and islam

Islam, Christianity and Judaism are similar in the sense that all of them are monotheistic faiths which
worship a single god and the masters of this universe. They also share a common belief related to the
oneness of God, its prophets, its sacred history as well as the divine revelation, Satan and angels.
Because this three believes that there is only one God, which is the maker of Heaven and Earth and the
Universe. They are make up from Abrahamic Religion. They have same many shared beliefs such as
Traditions and customs including the importance of prayer, celebrations, charity and cleanliness, and
pilgrimage.Three of the world's major religions the monotheist traditions of Judaism, Christianity, and
Islam -- were all born in the Middle East and are all inextricably linked to one another. Christianity was
born from within the Jewish tradition, and Islam developed from both Christianity and Judaism.

How are judaism christianity and islam different

Judaism: These people hanged Hazrat Isa ( A.S) who is known as Jesus for crucification on the cross, thus
Christians have a cross for their religious symbol.
Christianity: These people believe that Jesus is the son of god. Their holy book is the Bible.
Islam: People following Islam are called Muslims. They believe in one god that is Allah and believe that
Hazrat Muhammad ( PBUH ) is the prophet of Allah. They believe that Allah sent many prophets for
different times to teach people what was right and wrong. he major difference is that most Christians
believe that Jesus was divine, the son of God. Islam says Jesus was only a prohet. He Jews do not believe
that Jesus was a Prophet, or in any way holy. Muslims think the Christian Bible us a holy document, as it
describes the life and times of one of their Prophets, though they do not agree with some of the details.

I thought ….. that Islam and muslim are different and also I thought that there’s no discrimination
in their religions and also I thought that they are worshiping God because they only want peace.

I learned that….. they are very discipline, kindness and peity when it comes to their religion they
are also good manner ,behave and more religious also While it is true that the Qur'an is at the heart of
the faith of Muslims, the book itself can be misleading for a beginner But neither is it a religion of peace.
Islam, like Judaism, is a multi-vocal, evolving religious civilization that includes within its texts, traditions
and practitioners a great variety of ideas.

I want to share to them that… Islam is the religion of science and we know that the muslim who
offers what serves humanity not only muslims will has the greatest reward from Allah. The problem not in Islam it's in
the modern muslims. And also I feel there is something to be admired in their religions that I want to share. I do not
know much about Islam but one thing I admire about them and that is how their women dress so modestly. I
sometimes dress like that in the Winter time to keep warm. But I admire how they do not believe in exposing the
body. And I also learn that every religion teaches good values for its followers. Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism,
Buddhism and so on. let's spread the value of goodness to all humanity so that our brotherhood is always maintained
without any crying, fear, and hatred. I, as a Muslim, uphold peace.

In what way is Islam similar to Christianity?

- I think they Both Muslims and most Christians believe Mary was a virgin and that Jesus was born
miraculously. Islam and Christianity both ascribe that Jesus Christ was the promised Messiah and did
perform miracles. Both Muslims and Christians believe Satan is real and evil and that he tries to make
people follow him instead of God. Also Muslims and Christians worship only one God and believe all are
children of Him.Christians are familiar with the Bible, but Muslims also believe the Bible to be holy
scripture insofar as it is translated correctly and does not contradict the Quran. They also believe both
faiths believe in similar rules given by God for all people and obeying them keeps humankind in a right
relationship with God.

How do the Five Pillars of Islam give a sense of unity and structure to the
religion as followed by all Muslims worldwide?
-The Five Pillars of Islam are the obligations that Muslims must satisfy to live a good and responsible life
and to bring them closer to God. And also in the 5 pillars they can show their modesty in worshiping upo
God by allowing theirselve’s for using the 5 pillars for their daily living life.

How do you think global terrorism affected Islam as a religion in the eyes
of the world? What negative effects did it have on innocent Muslims in
their everyday lives?
-When it comes to terrorism, military solutions abound. These don’t sound like the lifestyle choices of suicide attackers proclaiming a
holy war. A conflicted sense of identity, compounded by insufferable shame, seems to be a greater instigator of the decision to seek
militant self-sacrifice.From sinner to winner innocent Muslim becomes a victim of generalization innocent Muslim suffers from
discrimination and it develops fear to the Muslim for their everyday lives.Generalization is the main effect of terrorism to our
innocent Muslim friends. People generalizes Muslim people as terrorists, hence, discrimination is existent in the society. People
discriminates every Muslim people, which may result to our Muslim friends to develop fear.
