1. Watch all the videos regarding historical sources (primary and secondary source) then answer the
following questions.

Directions: Determine whether the following are primary or secondary sources. Circle the letter
indicating whether the item is a "P" primary source or "S" secondary source. For each one, explain
your reasoning in COMPLETE SENTENCES.

1. The story your grandfather tells you about his experience during the Korean War. P S

Why: This is secondary source of information because from the word story, it is the story of your
grandfather’s experienced during the Korean war.

2. A letter written by George Washington to his mother about the latest developments in the

Why: Basically this is primary source of information because its written by the writer only.

3. The Diary of Anne Frank - the published diary of a teenage girl who experiences the Holocaust

Why: This is primary source of information because it’s a diary by the author and never be altered.

4. Your World History textbook or an encyclopedia. P S

Why: This is secondary source of information because textbook is kind of secondary source.

5. Your high school diploma. P S

Why: This is primary source of information because it serve as proof for your hardwork in study.

6. A photograph of you and your friends at your 8th birthday party. P S

Why: This is primary source because that picture represents one of the most memories of yours that
celebrated.

7. The information from the museum tour guide who shows you around the exhibit and shares facts
with you. P S

Why: This is secondary source beacause the tour guide did not experience those in actual he/she is
only speaking base on his/her knowledged.

8. A mummy from ancient Egypt. P S

Why: This is primary source of information because its originated the Egypt originally.
