Structural engineers are primarily concerned with designing and constructing buildings and structures
that are safe and capable of withstanding the elements to which they will be exposed, as well as
improving the structural integrity of existing buildings. The job is very closely related to that of civil
engineer.
Performing structural design and analysis of RCC, steel and composite buildings up to G+20 buildings
including preparing building reports, designs and drawings, and making calculations about loads and
stresses with ETABS, STAADPro and SAP softwares with relevant domestic and international codes; BS,
IS, ACI and Eurocodes.
Carrying out site and construction inspection work for the ongoing projects as well as providing clients
with technical advice to satisfactorily meet the building regulations and approval in the city of Baroda.
Carrying out structural integrity tests of ongoing and existing structures; buildings, bridges and pipelines
to comply with the safety and environmental requirements stipulated by the Municipal corporation of
Vadodara.
