GPON – Basic Command OLT ZTE

Nowadays, many people so familiar about GPON. GPON is a next generation for Broadband
Technologies from copper into optical connection.

so GPON is be er from previous generation like ADSL technologies.Using Optic as a medium


connection make GPON is so powerful in delivering bandwidth than copper connection. Nowadays
GPON is used for many Internet Service Provider to deliver their product like FTTH (Fiber To The
home). Or sometimes that product can said with Triple-Play. What’s the meaning of triple,, because
nowadays some Provider using this products to deliver Three services like Internet / DATA / VPN ,
IPTV , and VOIP services.

Here Example a Simple Topology :

ONT is like an ADSL Modem , usually install at customer, and OLT is a Central operation where we
can push configuration to deliver service to the customer.

Okay , That’s it a li le explanation about GPON that simply i known.

This is Awesome. On the internet there is very li le information. Some pon-mng-gpon commands
do not work, I think it is for the firmware version of f660. I Have the Versión 5.2.10P2T24, What
Versión of Firmware Do You Have..?

or you can remotely ont via web (you can read my other post how to block telnet from ont and
open h p port of ont so you can remotely) and change the wifi ssid
