Job Opportunity The PCC has resolved to appoint a paid administrator to
provide assistance on Mondays in addition to the 3 days served by Gill. Is this a post

who would like to join our team? We’re particularly looking for someone who, in
addition to other tasks, can help with keeping our website up to date, and using our
e-bulletin, etc, so good modern communication skills are essential. Please speak to

Morning Worship next Sunday13 February We are planning to include
instrumental players in our 10am All age Worship, with a workshop the day before,
Saturday 12th, 9.30 – 11am. We do hope you will feel able (and keen!) to support ;
it’s such fun when there is a good number there. Speak to Antony after the service

Martin Cavender who was with us on 23rd January is the Director of ReSource -
(www.resource-arm.net) - a ministry with an Anglican distinctive, seeking to serve
the church by teaching, training, and encouraging people to renew their lives and
their church. We will be following a ReSource Lent Course from 9th March, called
“Season of renewal”. Martin be back to preach at our services at Pentecost (12 June)
and his colleague Roger Morgan will be preaching here on 15th May. Martin will also
lead our Parish Weekend Away Friday 8 - Sunday10 July at Pilgrim Hall in
Sussex. More details to follow but please put the date in your diary now!
KJV 400 (King James Version) Family Bibles Our plans to celebrate the 400th
Anniversary of the publication of the King James Version of the Bible from 2 May this
year will include an exhibition of the Bibles and Prayer Books used at Holy Trinity
over the decades, family Bibles and your personal Bible. Do you have a family Bible in
your home - a book you've kept from one generation to another with a record of
your forbears - births, marriages and deaths inscribed in it,. Would you be willing to
lend it, and your personal Bible, for a short period of time from 2 May onwards?

Confirmation Several members of our congregation come forward for a blessing at
Communion. If you are one of those, and would like to receive communion, please
think about being confirmed: speak with Rosy Skinner after the service this morning
if you would like to know more about this.
Admission to Communion If you have a child over the age of 7 who is asking to
be admitted to Communion before Confirmation, please talk to Caroline Clarke or
Meg Post. We are planning to run a course to prepare for this during this term.

VOUNTEERS NEEDED!
Parish Weekend Coordinator Our weekend away
at Pilgrim Hall, 8-10 July, needs to be planned and
organised by a small group: we need volunteers to be a
part of that team, and someone to be the overall
coordinator. Publicity, Bookings, Activities… lots
needs to be arranged to ensure that everyone who
wants to is able to come and that we all have a great
time. If you think you could help, please speak to one
of the clergy or Churchwardens or contact the parish office for more information.
Youth and Children’s Groups
We still need another helper to work with Luke in running THE MIX which meets
on Fridays between 7.00-9.00pm. - preferably someone in the 18-30 age group.

TRINITY TODDLERS needs more people to help serve refreshments to children
and their carers. They meet on Wednesdays in term time from 10-11.30am. Please
speak to Rosie Aneja, Sophie Miller or Sarah Roberts. And FLEDGLINGS needs
help to look after young children when their parents are in discussion groups for half
an hour. Fledglings meets on the first Tuesday morning of the month. If you are able
to help please speak to Joanna Burdett or Kate Duroux.
We need a volunteer to represent CMS (Church Mission Society). Responsibilities
include:
• encouraging letter writing and other means of mailing our Link Partners;
• distributing Link letters from Partners to the congregation and ensuring that
those leading intercessions pray for them, their host countries and the witness
of the local church; and
• raising the prayer and information profile of CMS in Holy Trinity.

AND THANKS to all who have volunteered recently including...
Anne Isherwood and Gilly Bailey-Smith who will jointly co-ordinate this year’s
Common Fayre on Saturday 18 June, and Sue Anstruther who with Caroline Pook
is our Parish Safeguarding Officer (formerly Child Protection Officers) keeping
children and vulnerable adults safe in our church and its activities.
Rachel Chetwood is now our Children’s Society representative, and Marion
Prideaux has taken on (again) the role of Christian Aid rep. They will keep us up
to date with activities and information relating to these two charities.
