Jata Shankar
The rst National Education policy was formed in 1968 and introduced by prime
2
minister. In the year of 1986 Rajiv Gandhi introduced a new National Education
policy and the 1386 national policy of education was modi ed in 1992 by the
3 4
P.V.Narasimha Rao .After 37 years the national Education policy, 2020 was
introduced by the Ministry of Human Resource Development
5 6 7
I would like to give brief Explanation about National Education policy 2020.
8
The before Education policy and the new Education policy have a lot of
9 10
differences. In the old Education policy have 10+21 system but now 5+3+3+4
system was introduced. The rst 5years is Foundation -Early Childhood care
11
and Education (ECCE) play/Activity based learning. The second 3 years is
12
Preparatory-Basic of Mathematics, Arts, science, humanities, etc. Interactive
learning method. The 3year is middle- Skill Development most abstract
concepts, Internships, and the last 4years High school-student can choice
subjects, multidisciplinary study, one skill. After completing High school then
13
Higher Education- Multiple entry and Exit model. Credit bank system. If a
14 15
student completed rst year in his Higher Education he will get a general
16 17 18 19 20
certi cate, he completed 2 years he get diploma certi cate, when he
completed his higher education he will get graduation certi cate and Master’s
in 1or 2 years, so this is the Introduction of the topic then we see about the
21
major thinks how the new education policy helps to students.
22
How the new Education policy helps to students:
23
Many factors point to the need for meaningful change in education exciting my
70 24 25
research is being done on how the brain works and how people learn though
global change. Practitioners should not only develop what they know, but also

26
have the skills, attitudes, and values that will help them. For this they need to
be actively involved in learning.
27
New technology that allows learning can also lead to change new tools allow
28
students to world. The information mountain is easily accessible with the click
29
of a button. The teacher no longer has all the know ledge. They are now a
critical instructor, showing students how to add and show information in
meaningful ways.
Many educational Institutions are challenging to prepare students for the
71
rapidly changing world of today people everywhere are struggling to gure out
30 31
how to participate in their practice. In today’s tomorrow’s of ces students need
to hone knowledge and skills for further education or training.
Merits of new education policy:
72
• All schools and colleges across the country have the same subject and
32
the same syllabus
• Students will be able to learn coding from class 6th
33 34
• Vocational subjects will be taught from class 6th onward
35 36
• National testing Agency (NTA) will conduct a common entrance
examination with this exam. So students can get admission to
universities across the country.
37 38 39
• Multiple exit system is a very good and interesting idea. This allows
40
students to nd yourself can also choose another course after
41
completing the rst year and you will get a certi cate for studying 1st
42,43
year, and etc.

Demerits:
44 45 46
70 • Now Teaching class up to 5 is done in local language. It’s a good decision
47 48
for promotional language but it is better to advertise as a medium of
49
instruction

50 51
• If a student moved Andhra Pradesh from Tamil nadu and now movement
52
there will be teaching in the local language. It clearly affects that
student.
53 54,55
• Implementation of this policy is not easy and it will take same time for
56 57
fully implementation of this policy
58
• According to this New Education policy future teachers should have a
59
B.Ed degree which comes after year of study. Now about government
teachers who do nothing but get huge salaries. Something about this
71 60,61
policy should also be mentioned
62
• Multiple exit option can also can be misused, so government should
keep on eyes on this.

Conclusion;
72 63 64
In my case there are merits and drawbacks in new national Educational policy.
65
This approach is very useful for students to study well and improve skills, there
66
is some criticism of this approach, but I am sure our government will clear the
67 68
issue. My only suggestion to government is important. The government have to
monitor the schools and collages allover
69
India they are following the new Education policy rules and regulations.
