Start Here to the Mummy’s Tomb!
Your
awesome teacher has taken you on a tour of the pyramids of Ancient Egypt. You are following the tour
guide when you hear a voice whisper, “Psst. Come over here.”

Curious, you walk around the corner to a dark hallway, following the raspy voice.
Much to your surprise, you come face-to-face with a walking, talking creature wrapped in a gauzy, whitish cloth
–a mummy! You are certain he is a part of the tour and start to leave, but he blocks your way. Mummy tells
you he’s lonely and hasn’t had anyone to talk to for centuries. He feels unappreciated and forgotten.
To top it off, Osiris won’t allow Mummy to rest in peace in the afterworld, until he
presents the family medallion as proof of his identity.
He tells you the medallion broke when he was tidying the tomb, and the parts
scattered everywhere. If you help Mummy reassemble it, he will allow you to leave.
You want to escape the tomb. You also feel kind of sorry for him, so you agree
to help. When you ask what you have to do, he hands you this sheet of papyrus…

ANCIENT EGYPT SHAPED THE MODERN WORLD

Ancient Egypt was one of the earliest and longest lasting civilizations in world history. It began around
3000 BC and lasted until 31 BC. Modern people owe a lot to the Ancient Egyptians. They are
responsible for many inventions that help us communicate, travel, stay healthy, and more!
