Currently overseeing the Islamic Banking Windows operations for UOB Malaysia.
Runs a small team of specialists supporting the overall UOB business, and oversees the development of new Islamic Banking products, internal policies and procedures, introduced processes that complies with Shariah requirements, builds the Shariah Governance Framework, supports business development and provides overall guidance to the day to day running of an Islamic Banking window.
Launched the Islamic Banking window on 14 July 2016, offering a total of 29 products for retail, SME, Commercial and Corporate customers, as well as Treasury products.
Building Malaysia to be the Group's Centre of Excellence for Islamic Banking.
Currently pushing for performance numbers for channels, as well as strategising the next phase of product development and variation to build the UOB brand in the market, and targeting to become a serious player in the Islamic Banking industry offering exciting financial solutions.
Also actively involved in industrial training and engagement with the Islamic Banking association. Part of the team that supports BNM efforts to promote Islamic Banking to the mass market.

Retail Banking - Responsible for Research, Design, Development and Implementation of Retail Banking Products and SME Banking Products for both Financing and Deposit product suites. Involved in all new product launches, including system development, internal policies, legal documentation, Shariah approvals, internal governance, collections policies and process improvement. Notable New to market products include Diminishing Musharaka Home Financing linked to deposit accounts, 2-in-1 Deposits Account based on Mudarabah, and SMS-based Commodity Murabaha Financing. Principal Trainer for newly-launched products.
Wholesale Banking - Responsible for Research, Design, Development and Implementation of Wholesale products, including Trade Financing, Cash Management and Working Capital Financing. Involved in all new product launches, including system development, Shariah approvals, internal governance and process improvement. Notable New to market products include Goods Murabaha, Short Term Capital Financing and Revolving Credit, as well as Foreign Currency Wadiah Accounts.
Financial Markets & Treasury - Oversee day-to-day management of existing products and involved in the Shariah governance for Terms Sheets and Legal documentation. Involved in all variations submission of FM products, including Structured Investments and Derivatives products.
Projects - Involved in all Saadiq-related projects including IT projects, processes and bank-wide initiatives. Demise of Bai-Inah Financing structure and launching of Commodity Murabaha-based Financing structure.

Responsible for the design, implementation and management of all of AmIslamic Bank's Retail Banking products, for liabilities and asset products. Managing a team of dedicated individuals responsible for Product Development, Business Development, Islamic Trade Financing and Business Support overseeing the development of an Islamic Core Banking system.
End-to-end scope of responsibilities includes: a. Product Design, R&D for products b. Legal Documentation development and approvals c. Shari’a Committee Approvals d. Management Approvals e.
